Backup is a fast and easy method to save data. The program is designed for the daily use and does not replace the complete save procedure, which should be executed by means of Psi/Win on a regular basis.
Backup comes with two basic functions:
Backup - (which saves data from the internal disk to the CF Card)
Restore - (which restores data from the CF Card to the internal disk)
Both functions take into account the file attributes. The files will be updated according to the time of their creation or alteration.
Prior to a backup or restore a battery check will be carried out. In case there is not enough power available or the unit is not plugged in the user will be notified accordingly and the process will be aborted.
NOTICE: Before the program is executed for the first time the Backup Folder must be created manually on the CF Card.
NOTICE: Older or no longer existing files and folders at the source will be removed at the target. This applies to backup as well as restore processes.
The Function Backup Disk carries out a complete backup of the internal disk in the Backup Folder on the CF Card.
Backup Folder creates a complete backup of any folder on the internal disk. "Standard Folder" is the first the choice to be offered when clicking this function.
Used Folders offers a list of the folders recently backed up. There are up to eight folders in the registered and up to four folders in the evaluation version available.
In both cases all paths files will be included. Likewise empty folders will also be saved.
Restore Disk transfers the complete Backup Folder and its contents from the CF Card to the internal disk.
Restore Folder transfers a complete Folder in the Backup Folder on the CF Card to the internal disk. The saved "Standard Folder" is the first the choice to be offered when clicking this function.
Used Folders offers a list of the folders recently restored.
NOTICE: The restore functions are only available in the registered version!
Being unregistered the program has some restrictions of functions.
After registering the program you can utilize the restore functions and you possess eight instead of four entries in the lists "Used folders".

The "Close Function" however will work as defined in the parameters
If the Backup is aborted by pressing <ESC> the program returns to its original function
Pressing <ESC> will abort most functions
In order to be able to execute the program immediately after a hardware reset the program (and OPXs) should be installed on a CF Card

NOTICE: Use Psi/Win to save the data on a regular basis. Psi/Win carries out, as opposed to Backup, a complete data backup of all drives.
In the backup folder of the CF-Card, can only be saved files, which are on the disk C:. If there are any files (which have been stored) on disk C: but have been detected, you'll have the chance to keep them in the backup folder, or start to archive them in the next backup.
While you archive these files, they will be sent to the archive folder and deleted out of the backup folder.
You have a overlook of all archived files. For these exist a restore/delete function for all separate inputs in your administration. If these archived files take to much memory space, you can completely delete them.
NOTICE: Files can only be archived, when the following options are activated: Archiving and Delete lost files.
NOTICE: Only one copy of same file can be archived at the same time. Files with the same name will be overwritten.
NOTICE: If activated, archiving will be done at restoring too. In this case the original files from disk C: will be archived, instead of the files from the backup folder. Anything else will be the same as archiving during backup.
Standard Folder: The folder to be saved by means of the Backup/Restore function. Must be located on the internal disk (Disk C:).
Backup Folder: The folder to receive the data Must be located on a CF Card.
