BBefore SCAN will be executed, one is asked to enter the filters to be applied: one or all bicycles and one or all bicycle ride types.
When all (filtered) rides have been displayed the following keys may be used to change the display:
cursor up/down: move up or down 1 record

home: start at record 1
end: end at last record
s: statistics of filtered rides
esc: exit scan
All other keys: will call help screen
UBCumulative distance ridden per bicycle are presented as function of the time (days, weeks or months). Before plotting, the user will be asked to enter the starting and end date of the time period considered. By default the starting date will be January 1th of the year of the first record and the last date. the curent date. Also the unit of time {day, week or month) wil be prompted.
By pressing the up or down key, graphs for each present bicycle, and for all bicycles combined will be displayed. The Escape key will end this option. Any other key will invoke a listing of possible actions.
qAThe printing option lets you invoke the regular Psion 5 printing mode. Please note that you must have invoked first the scan mode to be able to print the tabular data. At this moment only the tabular data of the scan option is possible to print. For printing the plots or the other statistics, use the print screen option" (Shift-Ctl-Alt-S) to make a regular MBM file.
ABIKLOG5 v2.3 is FREEWARE. This does not free you from the moral obligation to express your thanks per Email to the author if you use it on a regular basis. Any kind of comments or report on how you like the program would be also very useful!..

Output of duration of single rides in SCAN or STATISTICS modes are now in hours:minutes format. Datafile is now a BIKLOG5 document, e.g. it is now possible by double tabbing on the icon of the datafile to invoke BiKLOG5 and open the datafile. An UPGRADE module is provided in the program to upgrade datafiles, generated with pre-2.3 versions of BIKLOG5. Some minor bugs fixed.

mABIKLOG5 V2.3 is a small utility allowing you
to keep track of your bicycle rides.
It features up to 4 bicycles and up to 5 ride types. The definitions of these bikes and rides
can be set by option Preferences.
In addition to tabular representation,
graphs can be made of the cumulative kilometers ridden per bicycle or all
bicycles together per day, week or month.

IMENU will bring up the main menu
Ctl+N New will create new file
After entering the name and location of the new file, you will be asked to enter to the names of up to four bicycles in your household, and the type of bicycle rides you want to tag to your rides (like commute, training, race..). Maximal five rides are possible.
Ctl+O Open will open existing file.
Always required, except when creating a new file.
Ctl+C Close will close current file. Only needed if you want to switch to another database file or to delete the current file.
Shift+Ctl+D Delete will delete file
Shift+Ctl+S Sort will sort the records according to ascending date. The plotting option assumes that the records are sorted by date! If you get strange effecs with the graphs, just do a sort!
Ctl+E Exit will exit programme
Ctl+A Add will add data of bicycle ride to file (date, bicycle name, bicycle ride type, distance, time or average speed and a short description (max 40. characters). You may choose to enter average speed (default) or time in hours and minutes, as defined in the Preferences. Either one is sufficient. By default the current date and the values of the last entered record will be entered.
Ctl+S Scan will scan data of each (filtered) ride See seperate section on SCAN for more details.
Shift+Ctl+A Alter will modify entry in database file
Shift+Ctl+E Erase will erase entry in database file
Ctl+F Find will find a string in the entries in the database file
Ctl+G Graphs will plot the cumulative distances ridden with each (present) bicycle as function of the time for a given time period. See sperate section on GRAPHS for more details.
Ctl+v Preferences will define the names of the bicycles and bicycle ride types (like commute, training ride, club ride, etc.) in the database. Also you will define here the unit of distance [km or mi} and the number of rides and km you set as goals to archieve in a year.
Ctl+T Statistics will present statistical data of the present entries in the database file

CTL + U Upgrade will convert datafiles generated in pre-2.3 versions of BIKLOG5 to BIKLOG5 documents, enabling these datafiles to be opened immediately by BIKLOG5. A backup file of the original file will be created in the original directory.
In addition printing of the last displayed data with SCAN will be also be possible using the standard menu option.
