  15. Installation from SIS file:
  16.  
  17. 1) Execute the home.sis file on your pc or Psion.
  18.  
  19. 2) Choose C or D drive for the installation (make sure that there is enought
  20. disk space).
  21.  
  22. 3) The program will install itself.

  25. Installation from ZIP file:
  26.  
  27. 1) Make sure the \System folder is shown on your Series 5 system screen. If
  28. it's not, enable it in the 'Preferences' dialogue.
  29.  
  30. 2) Using PsiWin copy the files PYTHIA.OPO, EXPORT.OPO, CABINET.OPO,
  31. PIQInfo.OPO and PIQInfo.MBM to the folder \system\opl (you might have to
  32. create the folder)
  33.  
  34. 3) Go into \System\Apps on C: or D: and make a new folder called "Home"
  35.  
  36. 4) Using PsiWin, copy the following files to the new \System\Apps\Home folder:
  37.   Home.app
  38.   Home.aif
  39.   Home.mbm
  40.   Home.hlp
  41.  
  42. 4) Copy the files systinfo.opx and sysram1.opx in the folder \system\opx
  43.  
  44. 5) A new icon should appear on your Extras bar

  47. Problems
  48. --------
  49.  
  50. 1. Read only files
  51.  
  52. Some times files become read only while being installed. None of the files
  53. should be read only. If you get any errors like the program is unable to
  54. write information to your Psion go through the program files to see if some
  55. of them are read only.
  56.  
  57. In the system-view you can open the file property window by selecting
  58. (highlighting) a file and pressing Ctrl-P. In the property window you can see
  59. and set/clear the read only checkbox.

  61. 2. Copying between C and D
  62.  
  63. Be very careful when you move or copy applications between the C and D
  64. drives. It seems that the Psion is not correctly updated when applicaions are
  65. copied from C to D or vice versa.
  66.  
  67. Always delete the application directory from one drive before reinstalling on
  68. the other drive.
  69.  
  70. 3. Low on battery
  71.  
  72. When starting up this program for the first time a lot of writing is done to
  73. the disk. If your machine is low on battery these writes can go wrong and
  74. turn the application files bad. This should only be an issue when running the
  75. application the first time.

  77. 4. Not enough memory
  78.  
  79. This program needs up to 300 Kb of free memory on the C drive. If you try to
  80. run the program with less than 300 Kb of free memory on the C drive it may
  81. not behave as expected.
