  13. Installation:

  16. OBS! If you are upgrading from a previous version please follow the upgrade
  17. section.

  20. Installation from SIS file:
  21.  
  22. 1) Execute the Company.sis file on your pc or Psion.
  23.  
  24. 2) Choose C or D drive for the installation (make sure that there is enought
  25. disk space).
  26.  
  27. 3) The program will install itself.

  29.  
  30. Installation from ZIP file:
  31.  
  32. 1) Make sure the \System folder is shown on your Series 5 system screen. If
  33. it is not, enable it in the 'Preferences' dialogue
  34.  
  35. 2) Using PsiWin copy the files PYTHIA.OPO, PIQInfo.OPO, PIQInfo.RSC and
  36. PIQInfo.MBM to the folder \system\opl (you might have to create the folder)
  37.  
  38. 3) Copy sysram1.opx, systinfo.opx to the folder \system\opx (you might have
  39. to create the folder)
  40.  
  41. 4) Go into \System\Apps on C: or D: and make a new folder called "Company"
  42.  
  43. 5) Using PsiWin, copy all the remaining files to the new \System\Apps\Company
  44. folder
  45.  
  46. 6) A new icon will appear on your Extras bar
  47.

  49. Problems
  50. --------
  51.  
  52. 1. Read only files
  53.  
  54. Some times files become read only while being installed. None of the files
  55. should be read only. If you get any errors like the program is unable to
  56. write information to your Psion go through the program files to see if some
  57. of them are read only.
  58.  
  59. In the system-view you can open the file property window by selecting
  60. (highlighting) a file and pressing Ctrl-P. In the property window you can see
  61. and set/clear the read only checkbox. 
  62.  
  63. 2. Copying between C and D
  64.  
  65. Be very careful when you move or copy applications between the C and D
  66. drives. It seems that the Psion is not correctly updated when applicaions are
  67. copied from C to D or vice versa.
  68.  
  69. Always delete the application directory from one drive before reinstalling on
  70. the other drive.

  73. Upgrade:
  74. --------
  75.  
  76. When upgrading from a previous version of Invoice Manager do not overwrite
  77. the 
  78. file "Invoice.dbf". This file contains all your registered invoice
  79. information.
  80.  
  81. When upgrading from a version 1.4 or lower the "Invoice.dbf" file will be
  82. upgraded to version 2.0 making it unusable with previous versions of the
  83. program.
  84.  
  85. To upgrade the Invoice.dbf file from version 2.0 to version 2.2 please
  86. execute the IMUPG22.OPO file. You can place it anywhere on your Psion and
  87. delete it after use.

  89. To upgrade the Invoice.dbf file from version 2.2 to version 2.3 please
  90. execute the IMUPG23.OPO file. You can place it anywhere on your Psion and
  91. delete it after use.

  93. To upgrade from Invoice Manager 2.4 to Company Accounting 2.5 just install
  94. Company Accounting. The first time your run the program it will copy the
  95. necessary information from your Invoice Manager installation. After that you
  96. can delete the \system\apps\invoice folder.

  102. 1) Press Ctrl+Shift+H to see help file.
  103.  
  104. 2) Download the detailed "Company Accounting On The Run" document from the
  105. PocketIQ home page (http://www.PocketIQ.com).
