  2. 2AThe Notes, with or without any filters applied, can be printed using serial or parallel printers, or through the PC.
  3. Use 'Page setup' to define the page size, header, footer, margins etc.

  14.  If you have numbers displayed, the the first 9 can be selected by pressing the appropriate number.

  16.  Home/End go to the top or bottom note in the file.
  17. If you have more than one Note Group switch between them using the Menu or the shortcut key Ctrl+O, or simply use the L/R arrows.
  18. 6ATo update any note select it and use Ctrl+U or Tab or tap on the Update Note button in the Toolbar  or by pressing Enter or tapping on a selected note if that is how you gave the program configured. Make any necessary changes.
  19. Note that the original entry date of the note is also shown in the Update dialog.
  20. AAs the main purpose of the program is to view the notes, a large number of options are available for viewing.  Any of the following can be used :

  50. dBThe program has extensive pen support and the 4 Toolbar buttons are set to the most often-used functions.  There will also be a scroll bar if appropriate, and if there is more than one Group then buttons will appear in the top left of the screen to mimic the action of the cursors.
  51. Also. tapping an entry will select it, and then a second tap will open up the note viewer (or however you have it configured)
  52. Finally, tapping anywhere around the other parts of the screen will bring up an appropriate dialog.  Rather than just list them I suggest you experiment in each area of the screen and see what happens.

  90. 6BEnter a note by using Ctrl+A, or by tapping on the Add Note button in the Toolbar or by pressing Enter if that is how you have the program configured.
  91. In the Entry dialog:
  92. - add a Description of up to 100 characters
  93. - set a Priority value 
  94. - assign a category
  95. and fill in the main Notepage. The normal Cut (Ctrl+X), Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) functions can be used to move text in/out of this window between other Psion applications.
  96. Remove notes if in error or not required with Ctrl+D or Delete. 
  97. The date of the note is automatically recorded on entry.
  98. 8AThe Rebuild Files option does some cleaning up of all the files.  It compresses them, refreshes the Category titles, resets the internal pointers and rebuilds the indices.  So use this option after you have Updated/Deleted a Category name, or whenever you think something is not quite right with the data files.
  99. ADThe Preferences menus have many options for configuring the display and operation of the program.
  100. The following can be set:
  101.  whether you wish to use numbered lines on the screen
  102.  whether you wish to use dated notes.
  103.  whether you wish to use prioritised notes.
  104.  whether you wish to use categories.
  105.  whether you wish to have the title of the note displayed on the view screen.
  106.  whether you wish to have a blank note presented on starting the program
  107.  whether you wish to have a blank note presented when the program is called forward
  108.  the Font type
  109.  the Date from various international formats
  110.  Whether to show bullets to indicate a note has contents.
  111.  whether you want the Esc key to send the program to the background. 
  112.  the hot-key you want to use to bring the program to the foreground
  113.  the behaviour of the Enter key
  114.  the behaviour when you tap on a selected entry.
  115.  the behaviour when you press a line number
  116.  whether pressing a letter key will automatically start a note. 
  117. In addition Ctrl+T switches the Toolbar, and Ctrl+M Zoom cycles through several font sizes.
  118. CRMRNOTES is a Jotter application for EPOC machines, designed for quickly entering notes when you don't have time to open a Word document.
  119. It is designed to be kept permanently open, and it can be configured so that pressing a 'Hot-key' combination in any other program will bring it immediately to the foreground.
  120. If required, Notes can be grouped under different document files, and each file can be Password protected.
  121. The program offers the ability to prioritise notes, allocate them to categories,and sort on any of the fields.  The main screen shows a list of the note descriptions, with a 'bullet' if there is more detail in the note.
  122. There are then various ways available to view the main note. 
  123. Subsequently, a filter can be applied on any of the fields to show just a subset of the notes.
  124. However, if you do not wish to have this complexity it can all be switched out.  In fact, the power of the program is in its configurability, as you can design it to your own requirements.
