  8. Installing QuickP :
  9. --------------------
  10. 0. please check that agenda2.opx, appinfo.opx, music.opx, sysram1.opx
  11.    don't exist in c:\system\opx or d:\system\opx, if yes delete them
  12.    before launching installation (or use uninstaller in the control panel)
  13. 1. Launch PsiWin Installer
  14. 2. Install AGENDA2
  15. 3. Install APPINFO
  16. 4. Install PSCINFO
  17. 5. Install MUSIC
  18. 6. Install SYSRAM1
  19. 7. Install QUICKP
  20. 8. Start the program
  21. 9. Read the help file.
  22.  
  23. For previous QuickP users :
  24. -----------------------------------
  25. QuickP 3.4 database has a different format from previous version of QuickP,
  26. to migrate from your older QuickP database to 3.4, please use
  27. UpdTo34.OPO program located in c:\ or d:\ (depends of disk installation choosen).
  28. Install and run it on the disk.
  29.  
  30. Conversion instructions :
  31. For registered users, please don't forget your username and password,
  32. Note it on a paper.
  33.  
  34. 0) Do a backup of your project environments (project folders, quickp database).
  35. 1) Launch QuickP 3.4
  36. 2) Create a new empty file with QuickP 3.4
  37. 3) Click "cancel" in "add project" dialog box.
  38. 4) Quit QuickP 3.4
  39. 5) Launch UpdTo34.opo
  40. 6) Select your previous version of QuickP, enter your old QuickP Database file name,
  41.    enter the new QuickP Database file name, click Enter
  42. 7) Reopen QuickP 3.4, you must retrieve your old datas in the 
  43.    new database format.

  45. Changes brought in 3.4:

  48. * This software works now on Psion Series 5, 5MX, REVO, Series 7 and Geofox one.

  50. * 2 new lists added : A time log list and a trouble tickets list.
  51.  
  52. * Duration in Events has been replaced with a end date and time
  53.  
  54. * Task sorting has been changed
  55.  
  56. * Import and Export Text Files.
  57.  
  58. * New toolbar added.

  60. * "Orders View" : Task ref in this kind of list has been erased. You must use task ref to manage
  61. workload in the "Time Log" view.

  63. * Link symbol doesn't appear anymore in the different kind of lists for 
  64. performances reasons.

  66. * Help file has been entirely reviewed and enlarge.

  68. * Sorting : All date columns can now be sorted ascending or descending. The same
  69. for priority column or task ref columns.

  71. * You can now modify categories for an item only with the 5th button "Set categ..."

  85. QuickP is Shareware, there is no nag screen, unregistered users can
  86. create only 2 projects environnements and 10 items on each lists per project.
