  1. GolfCard
  2. ========
  3. This is version 5.03 of GolfCard for the Psion Series 5 released
  4. 10 September 1998.
  5.  
  6. SPECIAL OFFER - Register GolfCard before GolfCard Analyst is released
  7. and you can download the Analyst application free as soon as it is
  8. released. Once Analyst is released the price of GolfCard and Analyst will
  9. increase to 50 GB Pounds + VAT.

  11. With GolfCard you can:
  12.  
  13. 1) Build your personal lifetime golf database.
  14.  
  15. 2) Save the scorecards for 1000s of matches, and the course details for as
  16.    many courses as you play.
  17.  
  18. 3) Score a match with up to 4 players in any of the standard formats,
  19.    Stableford, Stroke Play, Match Play, Bogey/Par, Foursomes,
  20.    4 Ball Better Ball etc, with proper allowance for handicaps.
  21.  
  22. 4) Score a match as you play, or alternatively enter the scorecard
  23.    when you get home.
  24.  
  25. 5) Review any previously saved match and analyse each player's performance.
  26.  
  27. 6) Print a scorecard at any time.
  28.  
  29. 7) Record performance information about each hole played: The number of
  30.    putts, whether or not the tee shot hit the fairway, and whether or
  31.    not you reached the green in regulation.
  32.  
  33. There is a further application called Golfcard Analyst which is currently
  34. still under development.

  36. With GolfCard Analyst you will be able to:
  37.  
  38. 1) Work out averages, eclectic scores, personal stroke index etc.
  39.  
  40. 2) Compare performance from one period to the next using the
  41.    GolfCard Performance Index.
  42.  
  43. 3) Track Gents (CONGU) and Ladies (LGU )handicaps exactly, using the
  44.    methods in operation in UK.
  45.  
  46. 4) Print a handicap record sheet.
  47.  
  48. 5) Calculate statistics for any player in any of the recorded matches.
  49.  
  50. 6) Handicap a golf society.

  58. Installation Instructions
  59. -------------------------
  60. 1) Install the GolfC503.sis file.
  61. 2) Also install SysRAM1.opx if not already installed on your Series 5 by
  62.    using the SysRAM1.sis file. (This .opx file is supplied by Psion.)
  63. 3) Run GolfCard from the Extras bar and enter your User Name as one
  64.    Christian Name followed by your surname. (eg John Smith)
  65. 4) Prior to registration you can score, save and analyse up to 2 matches.

  68. Registration Procedure
  69. ----------------------
  70. If you register GolfCard, then the 2 match restriction is removed and you
  71. can start to build your lifetime golfing database. This is done by
  72. entering your unique number at the Main Menu item -- 'Register'.
  73. The cost to register is 30 GB Pounds, + 5.25 GB Pounds VAT if you live in 
  74. the EC.
  75. We accept payments by credit card (MasterCard, Visa or EuroCard),
  76. sterling cheque, or cash.
  77. Please use the form at the bottom of this document. On satisfactory receipt
  78. of your payment, we shall send you by Email or Fax your unique Registration
  79. Number. It is important that you tell us your User Name exactly as it is
  80. displayed on the first GolfCard screen.
