  4. Welcome to Crypto!

  6. Crypto is a encryption utility which may wipe out source
  7. files, launch decrypted files and automatically re-encrypt
  8. them after modification.
  9.  
  10. After I've read 'Murgan's Musings' in Palmtop's issue 18
  11. I've wondered how difficult it is to write an encryption
  12. utility for the EPOC platform. - I know that such a
  13. program already exists, but I was more interested in the
  14. making than in the result.

  16. I'm using Crypto myself for managing a simple database
  17. with tons of logins, passwords and other figures I'm
  18. supposed to know by heart. A perfect job for my little
  19. brain extension - my beloved Series 5.

  94. Crypto is distributed as .zip file containing the following
  95. .sis installation file:

  97. - Crypto.sis          for EPOC Computer (e.g. Serie 5)
  98. - CryptoEmulator.sis  for EPOC Emulator R5 on a PC
  99.  
  100. To install Crypto from your 32-bit MS-Windows PC, double
  101. click on the .sis file and follow the instructions.
  102.  
  103. To install Crypto from your EPOC machine or the EPOC
  104. Emulator, launch the .sis file and follow the 
  105. instructions.

  107. After the installation a new icon should appear in your
  108. extras bar.

  110. Grap a copy of the appropriate installation program from my
  111. web site http://salvis.com/ when your PsiWin release or
  112. your EPOC machine does not support .sis files.

  114. Important: The old EPOC Emulator Release 3 is not supported 
  115. *********  anymore. Please download the new Emulator from 
  116.            http://www.epocworld.com/ - the OPL or JAVA SDK
  117.            are relatively 'small' and include a full working
  118.            Emulator. They may be downloaded for free by
  119.            EpocWorld members and the membership is free too.
  120.            The new emulator is definitely better than the
  121.            old one and is highly recommended!
