PSolly is a version of Klondike solitaire, the "standard" game that everyone calls simply "solitaire."
In solitaire, the game area is divided into three parts; the "deck" on the left, seven "play stacks" in the center, and four "suit stacks" on the right.
Tho object of the game is to place all 52 cards on the suit stacks.
Cards are moved by first selecting a single card. or a stack of cards, and then selecting a destination stack.
Selecting is accomplished by tapping on the card, or optionaly, with the shareware version, using the keyboard to pick a stack. If the "Select by Card" option is in effect (see PSolly Options), and selection is done by tapping, those cards selected will be highlighted by reversing colors. If using the keyboard to select, or if the "Select by Stack" Option is in effect, an entire stack, highlighted by a surrounding border, is selected.
At the start of a game, some of the cards are dealt onto the seven play stacks, with the rest remaining in the deck. Selecting from the deck, which is initially all face down, turns up 1 or 3 cards (see PSolly Options), Any face up card. from the deck or one of the play stacks, can be moved to either:
-- a card on one of the play stacks that is of the opposite suit color, and has a one-higher denomination (for example, a three of clubs can be moved onto a four of diamonds).
-- a card on one of the suit stacks that is the same suit, and that has a one-lower denomination (for example, a jack of spades can be moved onto a ten of spades).
In addition, a grouping of cards from a play stack can be moved en-masse to an appropriate card on another play stack (for example, a six of hearts / five of clubs / four of diamonds group can be moved to a seven of spades).
PSolly is the classic Klondike solitaire game rendered for the Psion Series 5. If you have ever played soilitaire, you'll feel instantly at home with PSolly. If not, just spend a few minutes reviewing the contents of this Help system.

Enjoy PSolly!
Several options are available to let you tailor PSolly to your own liking. Once any option is changed, the new setting will be remembered in future games. The options are...
Draw 1 or 3 determines how many cards from the deck will be turned face up when the deck is selected by tapping it, or by pressinng "1" on the keyboard.
Passes thru deck determines whether the deck can be played through only once, or whether it will "wrap around" so that it can be played over and over.
Splaah Screen lets you disable the charming and informative information panel that displays when PSolly starts up.
Auto Complete willl, once you have played enough of a game that your victory is assured, automatically move all cards to the suit stacks, for you.
Select by lets you choose to Select by Stack or Select by Card. If you choose the Card option, you will need to be precise when selecting a card to move, from a play stack. If you choose the Stack option, Polly will automatically choose the card(s) to be moved from the selected stack. (Any selection made from the keyboard will be made in Select by Stack mode.) You can easily determine which mode you are currently in: in Card mode selected cards will be reversed in color, whereas in Stack mode, the entire stack will be outlined with a border.
Auto feed automatically turns up the top card on any stack that is all down-facing
When playing PSolly, you can select cards to move, and destination stacks, either by tapping the screen or by using the keyboard. These two methods of selection can be mixed as desired.
The PSolly keyboard keys are:
<Spacebar> - feeds a card from the deck (or 3 cards, depending on which option is in effect - see PSolly Options).
<1> - Selects the deck
<2> - Selects the first play stack
<3> - Selects the second play stack
<4> - Selects the third play stack
<5> - Selects the forth play stack
<6> - Selects the fifth play stack
<7> - Selects the sixth play stack
<8> - Selects the seventh play stack
<Del> - Performs an Undo operation
Note that the four suit stacks cannot be selected by using the keyoard. In normal play, though, the suit stacks do need to be selected directly, since double-selecting a card from the deck or from a play stack, will automatically place the card on the appropriate suit stack. Note though that a suit stack can always be selected by tapping.
PSolly has a number of interesting and useful features aimed at enhancing the quality of your hard-earned PSolly Time...
Full Undo allows you to easily backout a multiple-step failed strategy, or just a misplaced tap.
Keyboard play allows even pen-phobics to experience the manifold pleasures of PSolly!
Smart Stack Selection (enabled by choosing "Select by Stack" - see PSolly Options). This feature allows you, when moving some cards from one stack to another, to have PSolly determine which cards to move. When you are using this feaature, PSolly will highlight the stack selected to be moved by drawing a border around the stack. Then, when you select a destination stack, PSolly will determine the appropriate cards to be moved, for you.
Play / Won record keeps your silly PSolly tally (really truly).
Select game by number / Replay Game lets you play your worst nightmare game, over and over and over, til you emerge victorious.
