  1. GLOBAL FIND Version 1.1

  4. The Global Find Utility can find files on any of the disks
  5. of your Psion Series 5 based on a number of tests.
  6. * Search for partial file name - eg: *.app.
  7. * Search by path - eg: files under C:\Documents.
  8. * Search for file type - eg: Word documents.
  9. * Search for a string contained in the file.
  10. * A scolling list of results is displayed.
  11. * Files may be opened (or switched to if the file is already open)
  12.   by pressing Enter.
  13. * Individual file sizes and total size may be displayed.
  14. * File types may be displayed.
  15. * Searching again may replace or add to the list.
  16.  
  17. The program is FreeWare. Copy as you like, but no charge or fee
  18. may be made for this program.

  34. Installation

  37. If you are upgrading from version 1.0, then you should first
  38. delete all files in \System\Apps\Find\
  39.  
  40. Copy the following files to the \System\Apps\Find directory.
  41.     Find.app
  42.     Find.aif
  43.     VWin.opo
  44.

  48. Find will save it's settings in an initialisation file
  49.   C:\System\Apps\Find\Find.ini
  50.  
  51. Open files (In Use) cannot be searched for strings, and will be
  52. silently skipped.
  53.  
  54. The Size and Application columns may be resized by dragging the
  55. dividing line in the header.
  56.  
  57. If you select the 'Names only' option, then you cannot search for
  58. a string or a file type. Sizes and applications will not be shown.
  59.  
  60. Sort by filename, size, or filetype by tapping the relevant header.
  61. Tapping the header again will reverse the sort order.
