  1. Here is version 5.03 of the Filmcalculator for the Series 5. 
  2.  
  3. Please Email me if you find anything strange or not working well. Suggestions about improving 
  4. the program or the layout are also welcome.
  5. I am working on a French translation, a digital post production menu and more....

  7. Automatic installation using a Win 95/NT PC
  8. =============================================
  9. You must have PsiWin v2.X installed on your PC.
  10.  
  11. First, install the 'EPOC install' program by running SETUP.EXE if you don't have 
  12. an "install New Program" in your Psiwin directory.
  13. You will need to do this before you can install the Filmcalculator program.

  15. When you are asked to select the installation file, select the Filmcalc.SIS file
  16. The program can be installed on drive C: or D:. 
  17.  
  18. The first time you install a program or file using EPOC install,
  19. an Add/remove icon is added to the Series 5 Control panel.
  20.  
  21. You will need to use the Remote link on your Series 5 in order to install
  22. programs using EPOC Install. Make sure the link is set to 'Cable', and that the 
  23. Series 5 is connected to your PC.

  26. Manual installation:

  28. Make a new directory called "Filmcalc" in your System\Apps\ folder on your Psion
  29. and copy the files (except this readme.txt Alarm1.opx and Sysram1.OPX) to this location.
  30. Due to internal errors in the Series 5 you will need to copy the file
  31. Sysram1.OPX in the directory C:\System\OPX if it is not already there.
  32. Also copy the Alarm1.OPX in the C:\System\OPX directory

  34. Upgrading from previous versions:

  36. Delete all files in the System\Apps\Filmcalc\ folder except Registration.ini.
  37. Proceed as above. (Automatic installation.)

  40. Copy protection / Registration

  42. This program needs a registration number. 
  43. Please fill out the supplied registration form and fax or Email this to me.
  44. I will return a registration number which is linked to your Psions Unique ID.
  45. If you change Psion, fax a copy of your bill together with the new serial number to me 
  46. and I will mail a new number back.

  50. This version has a try out period again. It expires at the end of April. 
  51. Please mail me for a tryout number.

  53. The Sun calculation works with the build in "World Database".
  54. There is also an option to create your own "Custom Database".
  55.  
  56. The Light setup is slightly modified, with an "Advanced option" for the Light database.
  57. Made in a hurry between shoots this version is not very well tested. Please mail me all
  58. problems and expect a more solid version in May.
