  27. 2. INTRODUCTION

  29. KeyDirect is a very useful little app that makes redirecting Silkkeys 
  30. (like: word, sheet, Cut & paste, zoom, ...) to another application easy.
  31.  
  32. If you use a program under the extra's bar very often and one of the Silkkeys
  33. not... Why not redirect it to this program. Fast Easy Cool! ;-)
  34.  
  35. Keys:
  36. Redirected Silkkey         : Rotate though open files of redirected program
  37. Ctrl-Redirected Silkkey    : KeyDirect main screen
  38. Ctrl-Fn-Redirected Silkkey : Quit (this combination works from almost anywhere)
  39.  
  40. Tips:
  41. * You can redirect more Silkkeys by restarting KeyDirect from the extrasbar while
  42.   holding the <Fn> key! (press Fn then Extras > KeyDirect). A temporary
  43.   shortcut will then be created for restart porposes.
  44. * You can also Create a shortcut with default keydirect settings by pressing
  45.   'New file' from the system screen. Just give it a nice name and a shortcut
  46.   will be created with the settings you choose in that session.
  47.   Next time just start by tapping the shortcut. No questions will be asked.

  49. Note!:
  50. * All Shotcuts that are called "...\KeyDirect..." are considered temporary
  51.   shortcuts. This means that if the system gives KeyDirect a sign to quit the
  52.   shortcut will remain (e.g. for a backup) so that it can be restarted with
  53.   the same options. But if closed trough KeyDirect itself the shortcut will
  54.   be removed.
  55. * All Shortcuts with another name are considered permanent and are meant to
  56.   be used repeatedly. The will not be removed. Of course you can delete them
  57.   at your leisure.

  68. 1. There are 2 methods to install KeyDirect depending on where you
  69.    have copied the .sis file and what setup you have;
  70.    
  71.    - On a PC with PsiWin
  72.      From the Windows Explorer double click the .sis file, this will 
  73.      automatically install KeyDirect onto your machine. If that
  74.      doesn't work right click the My Psion icon and click the Install New 
  75.      Program option.
  76.      If you do not have the Install New Program option then download
  77.      setup.exe from our site or from Psions' site <http://www.psion.com>
  78.      install it and try again.
  79.    - On a EPOC machine
  80.      Tap the .sis file to install, if this does not work then you do not
  81.      have the Add/Remove utility, in this case download
  82.      instexe.exe from our site, or psions' site <http://www.psion.com> and
  83.      copy it to your machine and try again.

  85. 2. Now press Extras|KeyDirect, to start.
  86.  
  87. 3. To uninstall goto the Control Panel, tap the Add/Remove icon, select 
  88.    KeyDirect and finally press the Remove button.

  97. v2.06 - fixed RunApp bug. I stupidly deleted a variable! 
  98. v2.05 - fixed Extra space bug! Some S5mx machines generate an extra space
  99.         when asked to give there name. So my proggy didn't work!
  100.         Thanks to Pardo I hope to have fixed it in this version.
  101. v2.04 - added netBook support (test phase)
  102.       - adjusted Ericsson MC 218 support to other silkkey names
  103.       - added support for creating a file to help me make this proggy
  104.         work on all platforms

  122. v1.02 - Now Keydirect will close if a backup is performed.
  123.       - Now Keydirect will close if Ctrl-shft-E is pressed from the system
