FIRST Before trying to Install you MUST HAVE the Visual Basic Runtime DLL
in your Windows\SYSTEM Directory OR the SETUP Program will just Hang up in
the beginning perhaps saying VBRUN300.DLL Not Found! This File VBRun300.DLL
is FREE and widely available on BBS's like the one you got this from. It
is not included with this Uploaded Version of PICs as it greatly increases
the size of this Download file, and most downloader's already have it!
ALSO you need to have Windows running in atleast a 256 Color Super VGA Mode
to take advantage of this program. Finally you need some worth-while GIF or
BMP pictures to view and know where they are located on your hard disk.
When you have all the above you can install this PICS Program and Screen
Saver by UnZipping the Downloaded file to a temporary and empty directory
on your hard disk. Then from Windows Program Manager do File Run and choose
the Setup Program IN the Temp Directory you unzipped to. After Install
you can delete the Unzipped Files in the Temp Directory.
When you 1st run the Pics Program it will probably ask you where your
DEFAULT BMP or GIF pictures are and then runs its Setup for you to enter
this information on Line 1 Of Setup (ie C:\PICS\) then Hit Enter.
Feel free to Share the downloaded ZIP files with others.
MORE DETAILS BELOW.
