  3. The program on this disk is version 3.4b of our Windows audio CD Player
  4. program.  It provides complete control over the playing of audio CDs and the
  5. ability to catalogue your collection and browse through it.

  21. DOS CDPLAYER and MEMORY RESIDENT CD PLAYER
  22.  
  23. This disk should also contain a copy of CDPlayer(TM) for DOS.
  24.  
  25. Registered users will receive a resgistered copy of CDPlayer for DOS and
  26. CDtsr(TM), a memory resident CD player.  This program allows DOS users, who are
  27. running text based programs, to pop up a CD handset similar to that contained
  28. in CDPlayer.  This is very handy for pausing the CD to take a phone call,
  29. carrying on with your current application and then resuming play by popping up
  30. the handset a second time.  Also for playing a new CD without having to close
  31. down your current application.

  37. This not normally distributed with the evaluation programs - a copy of
  38. the text is provided on the disk in a file called MANUAL.WIN.  This file
  39. may be printed by typing:

  45.      COPY A:MANUAL.WIN LPT1:
  46.  
  47.      (where A: and LPT1: are replaced with the disk drive and printer port
  48.      you are using)

  50. Please print the contents of LICENCE.TXT before proceeding.

  52. You may order a registered copy of the programs by completing the order form
  53. (ORDER.FRM) and returning it to one of the organizations listed therein.
  54. Registration brings you a registered copy of the latest releases of:

  60. The registered versions of the program offer the following enhanced
  61. facilities/utilities:

  63.         Rebuild databse in the event of a corruption
  64.         Delete old records from your catalogue
  65.         Track field lengths of 100 characters
  66.         Increased length for word filter string
  67.         Word filter match based on all fields in the record not just the
  68.           composer field.

  71. versions of all releases 3.??.  We will also place you on our mailing list for
  72. notification of upgrades and new products.

  94. INSTALLATION (for those reading this before running SETUP.)
  95.  
  96. CDPlayer will run under windows 3.0 or later.  The following steps will add
  97. CDPlayer to your windows system.
  98.  
  99. 1       Unpack the contents of the ZIP file to a floppy disk or a scratch
  100.         directory on your hard disk.
  101.  
  102. 2       Launch windows
  103.  
  104. 3       Click on File and then Run
  105.  
  106. 4       Enter A:SETUP and click Continue - replace A with the letter
  107.         appropriate to your floppy disk or the path of the temporary drive.
  108.  
  109. 5       Follow the instructions on the screen.

  111. The install program will install CDPlayer for windows in a directory called
  112. CDPlayer on drive C by default, create a Program Group called Jupiter and
  113. create Program Items.  You may change the default directory during
  114. installation.

  116. You may launch CDPlayer by double clicking on the icon in the Jupiter Program
  117. Group.
