This CD contains nearly 200 HTML template pages used to construct variations of 50 different Web site designs. While 50 of the templates are used for the homepages of those designs, the additional templates allow the designer to have varying content room on second level pages and the ability to layout such content differently. Following is a brief description of each folder and what is included in it:
1. Designs - Includes the HTML templates, stylesheets, and source Photoshop files to customize 50 different designs. The sub-folder names, such as "design_9," correlate with the design numbers in Chapter 15 and in the book's color insert. In other words, design 15 in the Chapter 15 will be "design_15" in the "Designs" folder on the CD.
2. SL Content Templates - Contains five HTML templates that can be customized and placed in the body of the second level pages of each design. These templates give the design varying options for laying out the content.
3. Figures - Includes full-color TIF figures used in the book.
4. Trial Software - Contains trial software used to create and edit images, animations, and HTML pages. Following is a list of included software:

Installation
To be able to use the designs and templates on this CD, the designer will need to have an HTML editor (e.g., Macromedia HomeSite) and Adobe Photoshop 6.01 installed. If, however, Photoshop 6 or higher is not on the computer, it will need to be installed. To install either of these programs, including Macromedia Fireworks and Flash, the designer will need to place the CD in the computer and open the "Trial Software" folder. In that folder will be sub-folders for each of the programs.
Note: Depending on the Mac OS and/or configuration, the designer may not be able to open files simply by dragging the file to a program. If this is the case, the file can be opened by its respective software, such as Photoshop. While in the software, simply go to "File" in the top menu, and then select "Open." The file will then need to be selected to be opened.
