  5. Several folks have asked about the files that inevitably disappear from one
  6. SNIPPETS release to the next.  Some have gone so far as to suggest I include
  7. a brief rationale within SNIPPETS.NDX why each deleted entry (marked with a
  8. '-' in the first column) was dropped.  This would be impractical since
  9. SNIPPETS.NDX is more than a simple index - it also acts as the control file
  10. for SNIPDIFF.  As such it is maintained by a separate program and its entries
  11. read in order when producing SNIPDIFF.  More importantly, its file
  12. verification tag is computed during the automatic maintenance cycle.

  14. In other words, it's more work than I want to tackle right now, OK?

  16. This file is therefore a separate list of all the files deleted from SNIPPETS
  17. since the last release along with the reason they were removed:

  19. Pdn.Lst     : New list not received in time, also questionably useful
  20. Rg_Qsort.C1 : Renamed Rg_Qsort.C
  21. Rg_Qsort.C2 : Renamed Rgiqsort.C
  22. Vio.H       : Redundant with Scrnmacs.H, also large model only code
  23. Vio.Asm     : Redundant with Vidport.C, also large model only code
