  1. Thank you for selecting WinCraps!

  3. WinCraps is a fully featured craps simulator designed to run in a
  4. Windows environment.  The program files are "zipped" (compressed)
  5. together into one self-extracting archive.

  7. To install WinCraps in Windows 3.x:
  8.  
  9. - Start your Windows Program Manager
  10. - From the FILE menu, select RUN
  11.  
  12. - If you have a WinCraps game disk,
  13.     - Place it in your A or B drive
  14.     - Enter A:WINCRAPS (or B:WINCRAPS)
  15.  
  16. - If you don't have a WinCraps game disk,
  17.     - Enter the path to the game files and WINCRAPS
  18.     - i.e. C:\DOWNLOAD\WINCRAPS

  20. To install WinCraps in Windows 95:
  21.  
  22. - Select Start from your taskbar
  23. - Select RUN
  24.  
  25. - If you have a WinCraps game disk,
  26.     - Place it in your A or B drive
  27.     - Enter A:WINCRAPS (or B:WINCRAPS)
  28.  
  29. - If you don't have a WinCraps game disk,
  30.     - Enter the path to the game files and WINCRAPS
  31.     - i.e. C:\DOWNLOAD\WINCRAPS

  34. The game files will first be extracted from the archive.  Then the 
  35. WinCraps setup routine will prompt you for the location in which
  36. you'd like to install the game (with a default of C:\WINCRAPS).
  37. A Program Manager Group and game file icons will also be created.
  38.  
  39. During the installation several system files are loaded which you
  40. may or may not already have.  If any of these files are present and
  41. write protected or in use, a warning message will appear so stating.
  42. This is just a notice - installation will continue after you
  43. acknowledge the message.
  44.  
  45. Note:  WinCraps requires the file VBRUN300.DLL to run.  This file
  46. is common to many programs written for Windows so it's possible
  47. that you may already have a copy (if so, you'd normally find it in
  48. your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory).  If you don't have it and you
  49. downloaded the shareware version of WinCraps from CompuServe,
  50. America Online, the Internet, etc., then you'll need to also
  51. download VBRUN300.DLL.  If you received WinCraps from another
  52. source, such as a distribution disk, then this file is already
  53. included with the game files.

  59. It can also usually be found in the game forum libraries of most
  60. on-line services such as CompuServe, America Online, etc.

  62. Activating your Registered version:

  64. If you've registered WinCraps, you'll have to enter your name and
  65. registration number into the program after installation.  To do
  66. this, start the program and press "R" while the "About WinCraps"
  67. screen is present.  Make sure you enter your name and number
  68. EXACTLY as they were provided to you - taking care to use the same
  69. upper and lower case letters, punctuation and spacing.  (Press the
  70. TAB key to move between the selections, and press the ENTER key
  71. when you're done.)

  81. WinCraps.  When you see a newer version listed on CompuServe,
  82. America Online, etc., just download it and repeat the installation
  83. process. If you'd like a new diskette however, you'll have to send
  84. a check for $2.50 (US) or $4.00 (foreign) to the address listed
  85. below to cover shipping and handling charges.

  89. Ordering the registered version of WinCraps is best accomplished
  90. by accessing the Order Form from within the game.  Select
  91. Order Form from the Help menu on the main game table.

  95. WinCraps is copyrighted by Cloud City Software.  You may share the
  96. Shareware version of WinCraps with anyone you like, as long as you
  97. do not modify the program in any way.  However, sharing or providing
  98. your registration number to anyone else is a violation of this
  99. copyright.  WinCraps' reasonable price should allow anyone to
  100. register their own copy!
