- APP 1.1
-
- Agenda Password Protection
- Freeware from Pelican Software Inc.
-
- -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- Note that 1.1 is Series 3a only
-
- APP 1.1 is a utility that will give you password protection for your Agenda
- files. It's not perfect, but it's about the best a third party can do.
-
- How does it work?
-
- To use APP start out by removing your Agenda from the sytem screen by high-
- lighting it and pressing psion</>.
-
- Copy Agenda.opa to any \app directory on your S3a.
-
- Next load the Agenda.opa (APP) file from Pelican Software Inc. by pressing
- Psion<I> at the system screen. Find the Agenda.opa file and press Enter. Do
- not load the Agenda.app by pressing Psion<J>. This bypasses APP 1.1.
-
- Your Agenda files will show up on the system screen under the new Agenda
- application icon. Don't be fooled, it looks the same as the built in Agenda.
- In fact we want it to so that it will look authentic.
-
- The first time you run the program you will be asked for a password. Put in
- your password, and verify by putting it in again below. From here after your
- Agenda's will be password protected. Casual users of the machine will never
- figure out how this is done, and this will protect your data. Of course it's
- not 100% safe since a soft reset will bring up the built in Agenda icon.
-
- Remember to re-assign the Agenda icon to the new Agenda.opa by pressing Psion<A>
- with the Agenda.opa application highlighted.

- Please report any bugs to me Email.
-
- If you can't remember your password you can delete the file called:
-
- \app\xagn\xagn.cfg
-
-
-
- New in version 1.1
-
- In v1.0 if you opened another Agenda file from within the currently open
- Agenda app, the name wouldn't update on the system screen. It still isn't
- perfect but it works better. You may have to go into the Agenda app an
- extra time before it updates the name on the screen.
-
-
- That's it.
