  20. APP 1.1 is a utility that will give you password protection for your Agenda
  21. files. It's not perfect, but it's about the best a third party can do.

  23. How does it work?

  25. To use APP start out by removing your Agenda from the sytem screen by high-
  26. lighting it and pressing psion</>.
  27.  
  28. Copy Agenda.opa to any \app directory on your S3a.
  29.  
  30. Next load the Agenda.opa (APP) file from Pelican Software Inc. by pressing
  31. Psion<I> at the system screen. Find the Agenda.opa file and press Enter. Do
  32. not load the Agenda.app by pressing Psion<J>. This bypasses APP 1.1.

  34. Your Agenda files will show up on the system screen under the new Agenda
  35. application icon. Don't be fooled, it looks the same as the built in Agenda.
  36. In fact we want it to so that it will look authentic.

  38. The first time you run the program you will be asked for a password. Put in
  39. your password, and verify by putting it in again below. From here after your
  40. Agenda's will be password protected. Casual users of the machine will never
  41. figure out how this is done, and this will protect your data. Of course it's
  42. not 100% safe since a soft reset will bring up the built in Agenda icon.

  44. Remember to re-assign the Agenda icon to the new Agenda.opa by pressing Psion<A>
  45. with the Agenda.opa application highlighted.

  59.         In v1.0 if you opened another Agenda file from within the currently open
  60.         Agenda app, the name wouldn't update on the system screen. It still isn't
  61.         perfect but it works better. You may have to go into the Agenda app an
  62.         extra time before it updates the name on the screen.
