- +9This simulation uses the Haldanean law of exponential gasO
- +9uptake/outgassing to calculate the absorption of nitrogenO
- +;by body tissues. In the exponential model, a tissue reducesO
- +=the pressure differential between it and the ambient pressureO
- +:by 50% in a period referred to as the half-time. DifferentO
- +;models use different half-times. The NAVY model uses 5, 10,O
- +920, 40, 80 and 120 minutes. The various tissue groups canO
- +=tolerate varying levels of nitrogen before the risk of decom-O
