  2. On this CD-ROM there are 350+ Windows applications, 500+ Truetype
  3. fonts, fonts, 5,000+ icons, and over 1,000 sound files.  The programs in
  4. this group created by WINGROUP will help you quickly access the programs
  5. and files on this CD-ROM.
  6.  
  7. WINDOWS APPLICATIONS:
  8. -----------------------------------------------------------------------
  9. Select the "Windows CD-ROM" icon to access all programs and files on the
  10. CD-ROM.  You can download any program to your floppy or hard drive by
  11. clicking on the text "Download disk ####" in the program review.  If a
  12. program has multiple disks to download, it is usually best to download
  13. each disk to a separate floppy rather than a single subdirectory to avoid
  14. overwriting duplicate file names.

  16. Note that over two-thirds of the Windows applications can be run
  17. directly from the CD-ROM, which are all located in the 0WINRUN
  18. directory.  You can add these programs to application groups in the
  19. Program Manager by using the Windows Setup program provided with Windows
  20. (3.1).  The Setup program can automatically search any drive for Windows
  21. programs, and you can then choose which ones to add to application
  22. groups.  When searching the CD-ROM drive it is only necessary to scan
  23. the 0WINRUN directory.  This will make the process faster.

  25. TRUETYPE AND ATM FONTS:
  26. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
  27. You can preview and print both Truetype and ATM fonts without first
  28. installing them in Windows.  Just select the "Font Monster" icon.  The
  29. Truetype fonts are arranged alphabetically in subdirectories in the
  30. directory TRUETYPE.  All the ATM fonts are located in the ATM directory.

  32. WINDOWS ICONS:
  33. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34. You can preview and edit the icons by selecting the "Icon Master" icon.
  35. All the icons are arranged alphabetically in subdirectories in the
  36. directory ICONS.  Note that the icons are in ICO, DLL and ICN formats.

  38. There is an icon of the PC-SIG logo in the HR subdirectory called
  39. PCSIG.ICO.  This can be used to replace the "World of Windows" icon in
  40. the PC-SIG Program Manager group.

  42. WINDOWS SOUNDS:
  43. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
  44. All the sounds are located in subdirectories in the directory SOUNDS.
  45. The sound files are in WAV, VOC, SND, SOU and MID formats.  If you have
  46. a sound card, select the "Voice Blaster Jr" icon to play the sounds.  If
  47. you only have a PC speaker, select the "Sound Tool" icon instead.  When
  48. first run you will need to install the internal speaker driver, which is
  49. the file 0WINRUN\3817\SPEEKER.SLL.

  68. THE WINGROUP.EXE INSTALL PROGRAM
  69. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
