  5. A:    * Added Browser independence support for 16-bit Internet Explorer.

  19. A: Several enhancements have been added to the browser as well as numerous 
  20.    other enhancements and bug fixes to the client programs. The major list
  21.    of fixed items and new features is below:

  23.       * Fixed many memory leaks in the Navigator Browser.

  25.       * Fixed HTML Table support in the Navigator Browser.

  27.       * Fixed problem with pasting message text from Microsoft Word 7.0 into 
  28.         the Message Client.

  30.       * Conferences that you do not have write access to will no longer show 
  31.         as valid conferences when entering a message.

  33.       * Fixed a problem that would cause the message save dialog to never close
  34.         in the Message Client if the message was addressed to a user that did

  60. A: Many small fixed and enhancements have been made. The major list of fixed
  61.    items and new features is listed below:

  63.       * The Connection Manager will now inform users that they are out of
  64.         time for the day during the login process.

  66.       * Fixed minor paint problem in the dialing directory window of the 
  67.         Connection Manager.

  69.       * If a dialing entry is selected to use WinSock, the area code field 
  70.         is now disabled in the Connection Manager.

  72.       * The Message Client will now confirm if you want to save a message
  73.         if you abort out of the spell checking process.

  104. A: Many small problems have been fixed that should allow the Navigator
  105.    to function better on many systems. In addition to these small fixes,
  106.    the following major features have been added:

  108.       * Browser Independance - you can now use Internet Explorer or
  109.         Netscape Navigator to log on to your favorite Wildcat! system.

  111.       * Terminal Server Support - Allows you to log into Wildcat 
  112.         through a terminal server.

  114.       * Progressive picture display - The Wildcat! Browser now displays 
  115.         graphics progressively as they are being received.

  117.       * Browser Table Fixes - Many problems have been fixed with the
  118.         Wildcat! browser and HTML tables.

  121.         to be used while editing and reading messages.

  125. Q: How do I tell the dialer to dial a 9 to access an outside line?

  127. A: You need to load Wildcat Connection Manager, Choose the menu item
  128.    Connections, then choose Dial Properties. Check the box that you
  129.    need to dial a number to access an outside line, then enter in the 
  130.    correct number.

  134. Q: When upgrading online, I receive an "Error #3 upgrading xxx program"
  135.  
  136. A: This means you have an older copy of DUNZIP.DLL in your Windows system
  137.    directory. Copy the DUNZIP.DLL from the directory you installed the
  138.    Navigator in (usually C:\WCNAV) to your Windows system directory.
  139.    (usually C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM).

  143. Q: When I choose to telnet to a site, Wildcat immediately reports an
  144.    "Invalid Address" error.

  146. A: Check to see if WINSOCK.DLL exists in the Windows directory. If it
  147.    does not, you'll need to re-install TCP/IP support under Windows.

  151. Q: I'm getting a "Reset Timeout" error when attempting to dial-out using
  152.    a modem.

  154. A: This could be a number of things. Check to make sure you are telling
  155.    Wildcat to use the correct COM port for your machine.  Check to see
  156.    if WINSOCK.DLL exists in the Windows directory. If it does not, you'll
  157.    need to re-install TCP/IP support under Windows 95.

  161. Q: When I load The Navigator, I'm receiving a "cache error 262". What
  162.    should I do?
  163.  
  164. A: Install SHARE.EXE. Edit your AUTOEXEC.BAT file and add SHARE.EXE to
  165.    the end of the file. Reboot the PC so the change will take affect.

  169. Q: I logged in, and it told me my system files needed to be upgraded,
  170.    so I let it upgrade them. If I hang up, and call back, it keeps telling
  171.    me they need to be upgraded. What should I do?
  172.  
  173. A: It's doing that because you haven't properly shutdown Wildcat after
  174.    the upgrade. Wildcat will prompt you after a system file upgrade that
  175.    you need to exit clear out of Wildcat (dialer and all) before the
  176.    upgrade process can be completed, NOT just disconnect. Exit all the
  177.    way out, and the next time you load wildcat, the upgrade process will
  178.    be completed, and it will stop prompting you.
