The regular and FFT windows display the data that was generated from the simulation of a dynamic system modeled in the diagram window.
PLOTS & THE KEY
The key to the different plots is located at the bottom of the screen. They are color coded, and have the same line thickness and data marker to help distiguish data when there are several plots put together.
CHANGING THE KEY
To change any of the display aspects of a plot: color, thickness, data mark, or its name; double click on the appropiate part of the key. The resultant dialog will allow you to change these aspects.
READING SPECIFIC DATA
Specific data from the key with the box around it can be read by simply moving the cursor over the plots. The value and time, or Hz, of the selected plot is displayed at the top of the window. Click on a key to select it.
ZOOMING IN
Any part of the plots can be zoomed in on. Do this by drawing a box around the part of the plot you are interested in (click the mouse button). No select "Zoom In" under the "Output" menu, or push command-M.
ZOOMING OUT
All you need to do is select "Zoom Out" from the "Output" menu, or push command-L. The plot will automatically be redrawn so that the entire range can be seen.
CREATING AN FFT
To create an FFT plot of a waveform created from simulated data, make sure that window is in the front, then choose "FFT Analysis" from the "Compute" menu. The time will be given in Hertz instead of seconds.
CLOSING A WINDOW
To close a window, select either the Close item in the File menu, or click the window's go-away box with the option key held down. If option is not held while the go-away box is clicked, then window is only hidden, not closed.
