  3. NASA's CLIPS expert system shell for the MAC
  4.  
  5. CLIPS was developed by the Artificial Intelligence Section of the
  6. Mission Planning and Analysis Division at NASA/Johnson Space
  7. Center. It was designed to allow AI research, development, and
  8. delivery on conventional computers.  Thus it was written in 'C'
  9. and is portable to just about any machine.  CLIPS SUPPORTS:
  10. Forward-chaining, Rete algorithm for pattern matching, wildcards
  11. and variables in single and multiple fields, externally defined
  12. functions (i.e. link to your own code).  According to their
  13. literature, "CLIPS meets or outperforms most microcomputer and
  14. many minicomputer based AI tools".

  28. and the excellent tutorial for about $350.  COSMIC can be
  29. contacted at (404) 542-3265.  If your interested in inexpensive
  30. technical software, I strongly suggest you get a COSMIC catalog.
