  36. The TWCP application is a simple Presentation Manager application which let you 
  37. Mark, Copy and Paste text and graphics from a DOS or OS/2 Window using the 
  38. mouse, like in X Windows, without passing through the system menu.

  87. This section explain how to use TWCP  V 1.10 - Text Window Cut and Paste

  90. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 6.1. Enabling ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  92. To enable TWCP  V 1.10 - Text Window Cut and Paste you should: 
  93.  
  94.   1. Select the mouse button with which you want to Mark and Copy, checking the 
  95.      corresponding radio button. 
  96.   2. Chose which control key(s) (Shift, Alt, Ctrl) you would like to use 
  97.      together with the mouse to Mark and Copy, checking the corresponding check 
  98.      button. 
  99.   3. Select the mouse button with which you want to Paste checking the 
  100.      corresponding radio button. 
  101.   4. Chose which control key(s) (Shift, Alt, Ctrl) you would like to use 
  102.      together with the mouse to Paste, checking the corresponding check button. 
  103.   5. Enable TWCP clicking on the ENABLE button.

  105.  Now you can start to use TWCP  V 1.10 - Text Window Cut and Paste

  108. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 6.2. Disabling ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  110. To Disable TWCP  V 1.10 - Text Window Cut and Paste you should click on the 
  111. DISABLE button.

  114. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 6.3. Marking and Copying ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  116. To Mark and Copy a portion of text you should do the following: 
  117.  
  118.   1. Press the Mark and Copy control key(s). 
  119.   2. Click the Mark and Copy mouse button where you want to start marking. 
  120.   3. Drag the mouse, holding down button and key, till the end of the portion 
  121.      of text you want to mark. Now the zone should be highlighted. 
  122.   4. Release the Mark and Copy mouse button. 
  123.   5. Release the Mark and Copy key. 
  124.  
  125.  The text or graphics you marked is automatically copied to the Clipboard.

  128. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 6.4. Pasting ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  130. To Paste from the Clipboard you should do the following:

  132.   1. Press the Paste control key(s). 
  133.   2. Click the Paste mouse button in the window in which you want to paste. 
  134.   3. Release the Paste mouse button. 
  135.   4. Release the Paste key. 
  136.  
  137.  The text or graphics is automatically pasted to the window. 
  138.  
  139.  Warning: You should hold down the control key(s) till the paste operation is 
  140.  completed, otherwise the text program could loose the release of the control 
  141.  key(s).

  144. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 7. How it works ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
  145.  
  146. TWCP  V 1.10 - Text Window Cut and Paste works installing a system hook that 
  147. intercepts every mouse message posted. If the message is directed to a DOS or 
  148. OS/2 Text Window, that has a window class of type Shield, and it is a Mark, 
  149. Copy or Paste key combination, the messages for Mark, Copy or Paste are send to 
  150. the window.

  152. Warning: Because the program relies on the class name, and there can be other 
  153. windows with class name Shield that aren't DOS or OS/2 Text Windows, the 
  154. program can fail with those windows. 
  155. The fields Class and Parent show the class name of every window in which the 
  156. mouse is clicked. 
  157. If you find a program that makes fail TWCP  V 1.10 - Text Window Cut and Paste

  164. use for Mark and Copy operations.
