This is the INF-version of the LaTeX-texinfo files for online viewing under
OS/2. It is much better and more complete than the previous version, which
was based on an older version of latex.texi and converted with an older
version of texi2ipf.
This release was created by converting the latex.texi files (version 1.0)
with *texi2ipf* into .ipf files, followed by lots of manual corrections.
Despite the necessaty of these corrections texi2ipf is a great tool ---
thanks to the author!!!
In this package there are three kinds of files:
*.INF These are the online manuals
*.ipf These are the sources
*.nodes Well, the name says it; it's just a list of the nodes
in the online documents. You can use it as a starting
point for creating an *.ndx file for Ctrl-h in EPM or
C-F1 in emacs (if you don't understand this sentence,
you probably won't need these files).
It's easy to turn them into *.ndx files, it's just
that I'm too lazy.
Since three is a nice number, there are also three documents:
latex.* The whole thing.
commands.* Just the Alphabetic List of Commands.
latex1.* =latex minus command. This is probably not of much
use, but it makes this package complete somehow
If you decide to use latex.INF you can delete the others --- you won't
loose anything. But maybe commands.INF is a good candidate for Ctrl-h.
Since I'm not sure that I corrected everything, I distribute the sources.
If you find any errors/inconsistencies or whatever (I'm sure you will),
you can either complain via e-mail or do the corrections in the .ipf files
and send me the context diffs.
Maybe someone with a deeper understanding of IPF can clean up the IPF-code
and insert external links into commands.ipf and latex1.ipf, thus making
the combined version superfluous.
***Disclaimer***
Do I really have to mention, that I don't take any responsibility if these
files trash your hard disk, kill your mouse or whatever?
