OS/2 1.3 and 2.0 driver for Canon BJ-Series Printers
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Canon BJ-Series Printer Driver for OS/2 PM supports the following
Canon printers:
Canon BJ-200 Black printing
Canon BJ-230 Black printing
Canon BJ-300 Black printing
Canon BJ-330 Black printing
Canon BJC-600 Black or Colour (CMYK) printing
Canon BJC-800 Black or Colour (CMYK) printing
The first two models (BJ-300/330) are supported using the Proprinter
emulation. The BJ-200, BJ-230, BJC-600 and BJC-800 are supported in their
native mode.
If you are installing this driver as an upgrade for an older version,
or if this is a completely new installation, you should first read
the installation notes in INSTALL.TXT. In addition, you should ensure
that your printer is set up correctly for use with the driver.
If you received this driver in a ZIP file, or the driver disk has been
copied using DOS instead of OS/2, you must reconstruct the driver disk
BEFORE installing the driver. To do this, you should run the OS/2 command
RESETEA on the driver disk. If you do not do this, the driver will not
install correctly on your system.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BJ-300/330:
~~~~~~~~~~~
This driver is for the BJ-300 and BJ-330 using the Proprinter
Emulation mode. In order to use the driver with either of these
printers, you must ensure that your printer has been set to use
this emulation.
You must set the DIP switches (located at the back of the printer)
as instructed in your BJ-300/330 User's Manual so that:
Switch 1-1 and 1-2 are ON.
If you do not do this, and your printer is set to the wrong emulation,
garbage will be produced by the driver.
BJ-200, BJ-230:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This driver supports the BJ-200 and BJ-230 in their 'native' (BJ-10)
control mode. You must check that the printer DIP switches are set
correctly before printing using the driver.
You must set the DIP switches (as described in your user's manual) so that
Switch 12 is up (off).
To ensure that the horizontal print position is correct, you should also
set Switch 1 as required for the paper size you are using.
BJC-600:
~~~~~~~~
This driver supports the BJC-600 in its native mode. Before printing
using this driver you must set the printer into its LQ 2550 Emulation.
You should check that the printer DIP switches are set correctly before
printing using the driver.
You must set the DIP switches as instructed in your BJC-600 User's Manual
so that: Switch 12 is up (ON).
To ensure that the horizontal print position is correct, you should also
set the other DIP switches as required for the paper size you are using.
BJC-800:
~~~~~~~~
No special printer settings are required for this printer.
