  2.                 OS/2 1.3 and 2.0 driver for Canon BJ-Series Printers
  3.                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  4.     The Canon BJ-Series Printer Driver for OS/2 PM supports the following
  5. Canon printers:
  6.  
  7.      Canon BJ-200       Black printing
  8.      Canon BJ-230       Black printing
  9.      Canon BJ-300       Black printing
  10.      Canon BJ-330       Black printing
  11.      Canon BJC-600      Black or Colour (CMYK) printing
  12.      Canon BJC-800      Black or Colour (CMYK) printing
  13.  
  14.     The first two models (BJ-300/330) are supported using the Proprinter
  15.     emulation. The BJ-200, BJ-230, BJC-600 and BJC-800 are supported in their
  16.     native mode.
  17.  
  18.     If you are installing this driver as an upgrade for an older version,
  19.     or if this is a completely new installation, you should first read
  20.     the installation notes in INSTALL.TXT. In addition, you should ensure
  21.     that your printer is set up correctly for use with the driver.
  22.  
  23.     If you received this driver in a ZIP file, or the driver disk has been
  24.     copied using DOS instead of OS/2, you must reconstruct the driver disk
  25.     BEFORE installing the driver. To do this, you should run the OS/2 command
  26.     RESETEA on the driver disk. If you do not do this, the driver will not
  27.     install correctly on your system.

  64.         The driver does not support the use of internal fonts or font cards
  65.     on the BJ-300 and BJ-330. Only ATM fonts (supplied with OS/2) can be
  66.     used at present.

  69.     2. Setting up your BJ printer for use with the driver
  70.     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  72.     BJ-300/330:
  73.     ~~~~~~~~~~~
  74.  
  75.         This driver is for the BJ-300 and BJ-330 using the Proprinter
  76.     Emulation mode. In order to use the driver with either of these
  77.     printers, you must ensure that your printer has been set to use
  78.     this emulation.
  79.  
  80.     You must set the DIP switches (located at the back of the printer)
  81.     as instructed in your BJ-300/330 User's Manual so that:
  82.             Switch 1-1 and 1-2 are ON.
  83.  
  84.     If you do not do this, and your printer is set to the wrong emulation,
  85.     garbage will be produced by the driver.
  86.  
  87.     BJ-200, BJ-230:
  88.     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  89.  
  90.         This driver supports the BJ-200 and BJ-230 in their 'native' (BJ-10)
  91.     control mode. You must check that the printer DIP switches are set
  92.     correctly before printing using the driver.
  93.  
  94.     You must set the DIP switches (as described in your user's manual) so that
  95.     Switch 12 is up (off).
  96.  
  97.     To ensure that the horizontal print position is correct, you should also
  98.     set Switch 1 as required for the paper size you are using.

  101.     BJC-600:

  104.         This driver supports the BJC-600 in its native mode. Before printing
  105.     using this driver you must set the printer into its LQ 2550 Emulation.
  106.     You should check that the printer DIP switches are set correctly before
  107.     printing using the driver.

  109.     You must set the DIP switches as instructed in your BJC-600 User's Manual
  110.     so that: Switch 12 is up (ON).
  111.  
  112.     To ensure that the horizontal print position is correct, you should also
  113.     set the other DIP switches as required for the paper size you are using.

  116.     BJC-800:
  117.     ~~~~~~~~
  118.         No special printer settings are required for this printer.
  119.
