  105.        Installation
  106.        =====================================================================

  108.        To install Lora you need a 386/486 computer with at least 8Mb of
  109.        RAM, OS/2 2.0/2.1 or later versions, at least one free serial port
  110.        and 3MBytes of Hard disk space.

  112.        Here is the right procedure to install Lora in your system:
  113.  
  114.        1. Create a directory called C:\LORA and uncompress inside it the
  115.           original archives, LORA234S.ZIP.
  116.  
  117.        2. Run LORA234S.EXE
  118.  
  119.        The program will create all the necessary directories and will copy
  120.        the files inside them.
  121.  
  122.        If you have installed Lora in C:\LORA, you can begin using it; if
  123.        not, you have to change all the references at C:\LORA using the
  124.        configuration program LSETUP.

  126.        Lora has been tested with the Ray Gwinn's SIO/VSIO drivers (1.20)

  129.        Upgrade from previous versions
  130.        ---------------------------------------------------------------------
  131.  
  132.        Since there isn't a previous OS/2 release, you can upgrade only
  133.        from the previous DOS versions. The installation program can
  134.        upgrade from one operating system to another.
  135.  
  136.        Here is the right procedure to upgrade Lora in your system:
  137.  
  138.        1. Change to you system directory (usually called C:\LORA) and
  139.           uncompress inside it the original archives, LORA234S.ZIP.
  140.  
  141.        2. Run LORA234S.EXE
  142.  
  143.        3. Run UPDATE.EXE.
  144.  
  145.        The program will upgrade the files that are changed with this
  146.        release. If you are using two or more configuration file (for two or
  147.        more lines), you can specify the name of those configuration files on
  148.        the command line. For example: UPDATE config1.dat config2.dat
  149.  
  150.        If you are upgrading a Lora version older than 2.30, part of the
  151.        configuration must be made again. Use LSETUP to insert the
  152.        configurations you put in the LORA.CFG file.
  153.  
  154.        Anyway, to update the binary files, the LSETUP program must be run
  155.        following the new format.
  156.  
  157.        From Version 2.30 you don't need to keep the LORA.CFG, SYSTEM.CFG,
  158.        SCHED.CFG and NODES.CFG files, as well as LORACOMP.EXE.

  160.        Each configuration can be done using the LSETUP program.
