  1. FIGURE  38.3-12. The T-10 regimen from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer
  2. Center. (A)  All  patients receive  the initial  16-week regimen.  The
  3. presurgical  chemotherapy  regimen  features four  weekly  courses  of
  4. high-dose  methotrexate and leucovorin rescue followed by resection of
  5. amputation. Patients undergoing  endoprosthetic replacement receive 16
  6. weeks of presurgical chemotherapy.  (B) Postoperative chemotherapy  is
  7. determined by the histologic grade of response of the primary tumor to
  8. presurgical chemotherapy. Patients who achieve an unfavorable response
  9. in  the  primary  tumor  (grades  I  and  II)  receive  T-10A  regimen
  10. postoperatively,  featuring   doxorubicin,  cisplatin,  and   the  BCD
  11. combination. Patients achieving  a favorable response (grades  III and
  12. IV) receive the T-10B regimen postoperatively and continue to  receive
  13. high-dose  methotrexate with  doxorubicin  and  the  BCD  combination.
