  1. FIGURE  29.2-7C. A patient  with  a  squamous  cell carcinoma  of  the
  2. nasopharynx that was staged as T2, N0. This patient was treated before
  3. there   was   three-dimensional  treatment   planning.  A  three-field
  4. arrangement  was  used,  which  included two posterior oblique portals
  5. that  protected the  spinal  cord but treated the posterior extent  of
  6. disease.  A small  portion of the  posterior aspect  of the disease is
  7. underdosed  by 20%,  even with  this plant. This area was boosted with
  8. I-125 implant. The patient  had no evidence of disease at 5 years.
