- molecule of 20 bp containing no long repeats is sequenced by
- hybridization with a chip bearing a fixed array of all possible 65,536
- octamers. Of those octamers, only 13 is to be bound with high affinity
- by the target DNA. The sequence of the target sequence is determined
- by aligning the hybridizing oligos in an ordered set determined by
- their overlapping sequence. Except for the seven terminal nucleotides,
- each internal nucleotide is effectively sequenced eight times.
