  9.      Subject: SC1224 Sound Output Level.

  11.      The  following  inspection should be carried  out  on  SC1224 
  12.      colour monitors that have a low  sound output:-

  15.      1.   Partially remove the plastic covering of the 13-pin  DIN
  16.           connector  attached to the computer end of  the  moniter 
  17.           cable.Provision has been made for this in the  coverings 
  18.           design.      
  19.  
  20.      2.   Examine the wiring and locate the wire connected to  pin           
  21.           5 of   the  13-Pin  connector.   In   most   cases  this  
  22.           wire   will be  coloured yellow.

  24.      3.   Carefully  remove the connection socket from pin  5  and 
  25.           insulate it so as to prevent it from short circuiting on
  26.           the earthed connector shell.

  29.      DO NOT DISLOCATE ANY OTHER CONNECTION FROM ITS PIN AS IT  MAY 
  30.      BE VERY DIFFICULT TO DETERMINE WERE TO REPLACE IT !!.
