  7. Re:  STM UHF Modulator Adjustment

  10. The UHF TV output may not appear central on some TV  sets,  slight 
  11. modulator  adjustment should correct inconsistent  positioning.
  12. Proceed as follows:-

  17.      1.   Only Qualified service personnel should attempt to carry 
  18.           out the following procedure on the 520STFM and  1040STFM 
  19.           as mains voltage exists within these models.

  21.      2.   Remove plastic cover and R.F. shield
  22.  
  23.      3.   Remove modulator shield
  24.  
  25.      4.   Apply  power and adjust the plastic cross head screw  on 
  26.           the modulator PCB until the display is central.
  27.  
  28.      5.   Replace shields and all screws.

  31. As well as producing a modulated output,  the STM also provides an 
  32. un-modulated  composite colour output on pin 2 of its  13-pin  Din 
  33. socket  which connects to pin 20 of the Atari Scart  Connector.
