  8. As far as I'm concerned this file is where I get to be completely self-indulgent and pretend to be a real writer.

  10. All 6 six of my stories were written in the last 9 months or so.  I'll go though them in the order that they were created.

  15. From an idea I had in a shower (most of mine happen there first).  I wrote it down instead of just smiling about it because a newly started (very) local fanzine was looking for stuff. The whole thing was written in about half an hour, and let's be honest - it shows.

  21. This one was conceived during the same shower as "Creation" and was also first done for the aforementioned fanzine.  What is here is an expanded and well (as in very) edited version.

  23. Thanks to the people at the writers workshop (God knows why I was there) at Eastercon '92 in Blackpool for not being really nasty to me about the original version.  Probably if it wasn't for their forgiving attitudes I would probably have stopped trying to write then.

  37. This awful piece of gibberish was brought into the world very late one Friday night.  It was finished many months later, and I'm still not entirely sure why I did it.

  45. It is a fact that the length of and average published short story makes my stuff look like half a sentence.  This is my attempt to do something longer, and I still haven't finished it - as you may have noticed.

  47. I quite like it but it has been said that it is an inferior Pratchett copy.  This probably true, but I don't care.

  53. I wrote this one only a couple of weeks ago, so I'm not sure how good it is yet.  Right now I think it's the best of the six, which is encouraging as it is also the most recent.

  55. I was feeling inspired (in my own little way) after reading the "Alien Sex" anthology, and this is the result. Hmmm.
