  14.      Avery is a brand name synomimous with labels of a high quality 
  15.      designed  specifically  for  printers of  all  types.  A  lot  of 
  16.      research,  time,  and money has gone into the production of  this 
  17.      label and the result is a cleverly designed label which is  white 
  18.      on one side and sticky on the reverse.As both sides of this label 
  19.      are  a  breakthrough  in technology  they  are  worth  discussing 
  20.      seperately.

  22.      THE  WHITE SIDE:  This is the most technologically advanced  side 
  23.      and like the pocket calculator was a spin off from the NASA Space 
  24.      Program  Research Laboratories,  they were trying to  find  which 
  25.      colour toilet tissue was most absorbent in a vacuum, which Avery
  26.      purchased  the  rights to.  The first startling thing  about  the 
  27.      White  Side is that everything you ask your computer to print  on 
  28.      the label is reproduced exactly on the label with no additions or 
  29.      ommissions.  But  that is not the end of it.  Amaze your  friends 
  30.      with this little experiment.  Get a pen with a blue top and write 
  31.      on the label,  it comes out BLUE,  then do the same thing with  a 
  32.      pen with a red top, it comes out RED, the same thing happens with 
  33.      green and black. However, if you use a pen with no top at all the 
  34.      colour is completely random. The latest rumour in the label world 
  35.      is that the famous pen maker Parker is about to release an  Avery 
  36.      compatable  pen which writes in orange and  white  stripes,  will 
  37.      this be the end of printed labels as we know them?

  39.      STICKY SIDE:   As we all know glue is made from horses hooves and 
  40.      it takes a total of 11 knackered old horses (or 14 of those  cute 
  41.      little Shetland Ponies) to make one sticky label.  Well worth  it 
  42.      don't you think? Sticky labels have many uses the most common. as 
  43.      we  all  know,  is printing KICK ME on them and sticking  the  on 
  44.      friends backs.  A program to print this is available from most PD 
  45.      libraries or from James on reciept of a blank disk. However, with 
  46.      a  little  imagination there are other things you  can  do.  Very 
  47.      often  I draw eyes on my Avery labels,  stick them on my  glasses 
  48.      and sit at my desk all day fast asleep with nobody the wiser.

  50.      SIZE:   Avery labels come on an A4 sheet.  The number ranges from 
  51.      four  per  sheet to lots and lots per sheet.  An  A4  sheet  fits 
  52.      perfectly  into a computer and measures,  for the precise  minded 
  53.      that  is 11.8 inches x 8.2 inches or for the more precise  minded 
  54.      29.8cm.  x  21cm  or for the,  want do  you  want  blood,  minded 
  55.      0.0001862 of a mile x 0.0001294 of a mile.

  57.      COST:   The best thing about Avery labels is that they are  free. 
  58.      Of  course  to get them free there  are  certain  conditions,  as 
  59.      follows:

  61.         1) You must work in an office.
  62.         2) You must fill out a stationery order.
  63.         3) You must not get caught doing above.
  64.         4) You must unpack delivery of stationery order.
  65.         5) You must not get caught doing above.
