  12. This  is  an excellent 10 screen demo by The Pixel Twins.   I  will  now  go 
  13.   
  14. through all of the screens and give a brief description of each.  
  15.  
  16.  
  17. ~~ TITLE SCREEN 1 ~~
  18.  
  19. This is a good little intro screen with some good orginal music and  instead 
  20.   
  21. of a scroller there is a cleverly done text displayer thingy which draws and 
  22.   
  23. then undraws the text.

  25. Pretty good.

  28. ~~ TITLE SCREEN 2 ~~
  29.  
  30. This  is a very good title screen featuring some excellent music  with  very 
  31.   
  32. well  timed  incoming graphics.   It is a bit hard to explain  exactly  what 
  33.   
  34. happens but it is very good.

  37. ~~ LOADING SCREEN ~~

  39. This  is just a plain scroller saying "PLEASE WAIT - LOADING PROGRAM"  there 
  40.   
  41. is  a beat in the background and basically this is nothing special  although 
  42.   
  43. it is ONLY a loading screen!!!

  46. ~~ SELECTION SCREEN ~~

  48. This is a very good selection screen in which you use the cursour keys to go 
  49.   
  50. through a massive maze finding the doors to enter the demos.   There is some 
  51.   
  52. good  music  and a very long scroller going with a  little  rotating  square 
  53.   
  54. going while you search...And search...And search...

  57. ~~ POLY MANIA ~~
  58.  
  59. This poly mania screen is nothing new as all demos seem to have a poly mania 
  60.   
  61. screen - They don't even think of an orginal name!!!  This Poly Mania screen 
  62.   
  63. is  very  slow compared to others that I have seen although there  are  some 
  64.   
  65. impressive  effects on the 3D shapes and overall this is a very good  screen 
  66.   
  67. with some good music and timing.

  70. ~~ STE DEMO ~~

  72. This is a screen devoted to the STE only.   As I do not have an STE I cannot 
  73.   
  74. comment.

  77. ~~ STE LOGO ~~

  79. This is a good sample of the R-TYPE III music.   The R-TYPE III logo  covers 
  80.   
  81. the screen and the 'III' bit flashes to the beat.

  83. Quite a good screen.

  86. ~~ DOTS ~~
  87.  
  88. This screen consists of some music which has been in just about every single 
  89.   
  90. demo with a shape made out of dots rotating very slowly.  So far this sounds 
  91.   
  92. a   bad screen but it is actually quite good as there are lots of  different 
  93.   
  94. shapes made form dots and you can control the shapes using the keyboard.

  96. Quit a good screen!

  99. ~~ HYPERACTIVE ~~
  100.  
  101. A  very  impressive  screen this one!!!   With some  music  playing  in  the 
  102.   
  103. background,  you  can choose whether to read the scroller or watch the  very 
  104.   
  105. impressive ball routines.   There are lots of balls in a formation and  they 
  106.   
  107. move  in  wavy lines chained in a necklace kind of way.   It  sounds  pretty 
  108.   
  109. average but it really is very realistic and impressive.

  111. A very, very good screen in my opinion!!!

  114. ~~ MEET US ~~
  115.  
  116. This  screen bombed out on me a few times - I don't know whether it  is  the 
  117.   
  118. programming or my disk but there you go.
  119.  
  120. A  pretty basic screen this one which won't keep you there for  long.   Even 
  121.   
  122. the scrollers are short.
  123.  
  124. There  is  a  picture in the middle of the screen along with  a  very  short 
  125.   
  126. scroller  waving  around at the top of the screen and another going  up  the 
  127.   
  128. screen.   I was just going through this demo again today after having it for 
  129.   
  130. some  time  and it was only today that I realised that you  can  change  the 
  131.   
  132. picture  in the middle of the screen by using the function  keys.   Still  a 
  133.   
  134. pretty rubbish screen though!

  137. ~~ STE GAME ~~
  138.  
  139. Another screen (well,  a game) dedicated to the STE,  and the STE only.   As 
  140.   
  141. with the last STE screen, I cannot comment on this as I do not have an STE I 
  142.   
  143. am afraid to say!

  146. ~~ JELLY BEANS ~~
  147.  
  148. This is a strange, but orginal screen where you can see a jelly bean dancing 
  149.   
  150. around.   There  are  some  pillars with objects  on  that  are  continually 
  151.   
  152. changing  and  there  must be hundreds because I have never  seen  the  same 
  153.   
  154. object twice and I have watched for ages.
  155.  
  156. In  the  background  there  is a  moving,  fractal  generated  screen  which 
  157.   
  158. continually changes and there is some good music.
  159.  
  160. A nice, orginal screen!

  163. ~~ PARRALAX ~~
  164.  
  165. This is another impressive screen,  this time by The High Lander.   There is 
  166.   
  167. some funky (Though unorginal) music playing away after a silent scroller has 
  168.   
  169. introduced it.   The scroller then turns into a large scroller that takes up 
  170.   
  171. the whole screen.  Then, the scroller asks for a background and swiftly, the 
  172.   
  173. black background turns into a moving,  colourful background.  Yet again, the 
  174.   
  175. scroller asks for something else (Getting a bit greedy now aren't we?!)  and 
  176.   
  177. this time,  we get some spinning faces moving around.  Then, finally, we get 
  178.   
  179. a drive light that flashes to the beat of the music.
  180.  
  181. The  end  result  is  very  impressive and this  really  is  a  very  clever 
  182.   
  183. screen!!!

  186. ~~ RESET SCREEN ~~
  187.  
  188. They must of run out of room on disk or processor time as this reset  screen 
  189.   
  190. is  dreadful.   Thre  is a moving starfield in the background with  a  small 
  191.   
  192. scroller.  There is no music or anything.
  193.  
  194. Oh well!!!
