  5. If you are uncertain about what sound
  6. card you have, you can find the 
  7. Port, IRQ, DMA etc. in two places:
  8.  
  9.   1 In your AUTOEXEC.BAT.
  10.  
  11.      SB16
  12.      SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 
  13.  
  14.     This means Sound Blaster 16 is
  15.     port 220, IRQ 5, and DMA 1.

  17.   2 In the Windows '95 control panel, 
  18.     you can view these elements under
  19.     ControlPanel/System/Device
  20.     Manager/Sound, video and game
  21.     controllers/Resources.
  22.  
  23. Some sound cards, for example
  24. Gravis, require a higher interrupt
  25. rate to operate from a DOS box. 
  26. Windows '95 may interfere with the 
  27. operation of these cards.  You must
  28. check the "Run in DOS" box on the
  29. launcher. 
  30. Certain Sound Cards, such as the 
  31. Diamond SonicLX card, and the 
  32. MediaMagic soundcard can be 
  33. configured using a utility that
  34. comes with the card to be a
  35. SoundBlaster or a Windows Sound
  36. System card. 
  37. The utility is variously named
  38. ISPINIT.EXE or SONIC.EXE.
  39. Night Trap cannot use these cards
  40. properly when they are  in
  41. SoundBlaster mode. 
  42. Please configure these sound cards in
  43. Microsoft Mode using the utility, 
  44. and specify that you are using a
  45. Microsoft Sound card.
