  6. This is the evaluation version of Ativa Pro.

  22. Minimum Requirements
  23. ---------------------

  25. To use Ativa Pro for Windows, you 
  26. must have the following:
  27.  
  28. *    IBM-compatible PC.
  29. *    Windows 95 with IE 4 or later 
  30.       or Windows 98 or later 
  31. *    Winsock 1.2 API compliant networking  
  32.      package (required for performance monitoring)
  33. *    An account with an ISP (Internet  
  34.      Service Provider) or an Internet-style  
  35.      network (for online updates).
  36. *   A  modem (28800 bps or higher recommended)

  40. Installation
  41. ------------

  43. To install Ativa Pro, follow these directions:
  44.  
  45. 1.   Exit any applications you are running.
  46.  
  47. 2.  If you are installing from a software archive,
  48.      double-click on it to start the self-extracting
  49.      install program.
  50.  
  51.      If you are installing from diskette, insert the
  52.      Ativa Pro diskette 1 into drive A: of your PC.
  53.      Then select Run... from the Start menu, enter
  54.      A:\atpsetup.exe, and click OK.
  55.  
  56. 3.   Read the Welcome screen, then click Next.
  57.  
  58. 4.   Specify a directory to install Ativa Pro, 
  59.       then click Next.
  60.  
  61.      To upgrade an older version of Ativa Pro, 
  62.      select your current Ativa Pro directory. 
  63.  
  64. 5.   Verify that the settings are correct,
  65.      then click Next (or use the Back button if you need
  66.      to go back and make changes).
  67.  
  68. 6.  If you are installing from diskette, you are
  69.      prompted to insert additional diskettes into drive A.
  70.  
  71. 7.  Ativa Pro is installed in the destination directory,
  72.  
  73. Note:   Always keep the Help file in the same directory 
  74.         as the executable (.exe).

  81. The first time you run Ativa Pro, 
  82. you should edit some of the configuration 
  83. information in order to be able to receive 
  84. online updates.

  86. Select the Configure button on the main screen.

  88. Click on the Web Update tab
  89. Choose your Dialup Connection from
  90. the available list.

  113. which operating system you're using,
  114. and anything else you think might be relevant.

  117. indicating that your bug report has been 
  118. received and forwarded to our engineering 
  119. staff. Unless additional information is 
  120. needed, you will not receive a direct response.

  129. software to do differently.  This is true

  133. your input is always welcome.  Please send 
  134. any suggestions or requests for new features 
  135. to suggest@ativapro.com.

  149. Ativa Pro for evaluation purposes without 
  150. charge for a period of ten days.

  154. may NOT be distributed as part of any 
  155. commercial product without a prior licence 
  156. agreement. Licenses to incorporate the source 
  157. into commercial products are also available.
