Nile Delta. The Nile Delta is one of the finest examples of river delta on Earth. At 120 miles wide, the Nile has created, through silting, a complex system of waterways. Deltas can be triangular in shape or form, creating what is known as a bird's-foot delta. The alluvial deposits form very rich farmland.
