  5. To avoid any Trademark conflict the English language version of Pegasus
  6. will be known as MUSTANG
  7.  
  8. Pegasus 1.0 (September 1992):
  9.  
  10.     - 1st edition of the Pegasus CD
  11.  
  12. Pegasus 1.2 (November 1992)
  13.  
  14.     - About 40 MB were added to existing files
  15.     - German menu, designed especially for Pegasus CD,  was added
  16.     - CD was distributed with full colour manual that descibed
  17.       the Pegasus CD
  18.  
  19. Pegasus 2.0 (June 1993)
  20.  
  21.     - All MOD sound files and SoundBlaster demos were
  22.       removed as there are special CDs on this topic
  23.     - Four commercial file that were accidentially put onto the last
  24.       CD were removed. We thank the concerned firms for their
  25.       information and their understanding
  26.     - An extra 85 MB of files were added thus steadily approaching
  27.       the limits of the CD 
  28.     - All files on Pegasus on CD were re-packed with PKZIP version
  29.       v2.04g which gained some more precious Megabytes. The freed
  30.       space was filled up with new programs
  31.     - update for Pegasus 1.2: in total more than 350 MByte => 60%
  32.     - File FLSEARCH.CTL was added for mailbox users, so that file
  33.       can be integrated more easily (path specifications in this
  34.       file might need to be altered when drive letter is changed)
  35.       require alteration in order to modify drive letter)
  36.     - The highly acclaimed CD menu was modified to accomodate
  37.       Windows, so that excellent menu is now available for both Dos
  38.       and Windows

  40. Pegasus 3.0 (January 1994)
  41.  
  42.     - Pegasus 3.0 is a complete update which makes it fundamentally
  43.       different from its predecessors. All future Pegasus CD-ROMs
  44.       will also represent complete updates.
  45.     - A search function has been integrated into menu that enables you
  46.       to look for known file names (i.e. you can recall that
  47.       application is called "CDAudio" but you cannot remember name
  48.       of archive file)
  49.     - Additionally we have added the 'real' program name and, if available,
  50.       the version number to the file summary. As a cosmetic
  51.       side-effect file summaries became longer and more extensive
  52.     - In directory \CDBENCH you can find full version of CD-ROM
  53.       benchmark package "CDBench" by Landmark (can only be run from
  54.       CD) so that you are able to use Pegasus 3.0 as reference CD
  55.       when measuring  speed of CD-ROM drive
  56.     - File FLSEARCH.CTL, intented for network users, was added
  57.       in order to simplify integration of CD (path specifications in
  58.       this file might need to be altered when drive letter is
  59.       changed)

  61. Pegasus 4.0 (June 1994)

  63.     - Pegasus 4.0 once again is an almost complete update and therefore
  64.       is substantially different from its predecessors
  65.     - The menu was improved in various details, amongst other things
  66.       a very powerful DOS file manager was added
  67.     - File FLSEARCH.CTL, intented for network users, was added
  68.       in order to simplify integration of CD (path specifications in
  69.       this file might need to be altered when drive letter is
  70.       changed)

  72. Mustang 4.0 (December 1994)
  73.  
  74.     - Pegasus 4.0 has been translated into English by The CD-ROM Factory
  75.       in England and is now also distributed into english speaking
  76.       countries by The CD-ROM Factory. Also future versions of Pegasus
  77.       will be available in English. The english language version of the
  78.       disk is now known as Mustang.
