  1. Courseware for Parent & Teacher 
  2. A)    Multimedia Sing-n-Story Time Vol.I includes three
  3.       modules: 
  4.     1.    Story Teller Module
  5.           There are five stories in this CD-ROM.  They can either
  6.           be played by non-stop mode or page-by-page mode.
  7.           In each story, eight colourful pictures are displayed
  8.           and 2 songs are performed.  Every story takes about
  9.           5 minutes to complete in non-stop mode.
  10.           ** To start, click on any book illustration from 
  11.          main menu.  Select play-back mode you want then
  12.              click "Start Now" button.

  14.     2.    Colouring Book Printing Module
  15.           Any page in any book, 40 pages in total, can be printed
  16.           in black and white outline. Printer resolution should be
  17.           300 DPI.  If you select less in resolution, you will
  18.           increase the size. 
  19.           ** To start, click on any small book from main menu and
  20.          follow the instructions.

  22.     3.    Karaoke Module (Sing Along Module)
  23.           Including the Welcome Song, there are 11 songs in total.
  24.           Each song is performed in two modes - Songs with Vocal
  25.           or Melody only.  Just plug the mic into the sound card's
  26.           "MIC IN" jack.  Go into sound card's mixer panel, adjust
  27.           the mic volume to a relatively high level.
  28.           ** To start, select the song and the play-back mode, 
  29.          then click on "Start/Repeat" button.

  32. B)    Ponlix Multimedia's Learning Suggestion (This is not actually
  33.       a course, but a suggested time scheduling)
  34.  
  35.      5-day course:   1 hour a day
  36.     10-day course:  30 min. a day
  37.  
  38.       For 5-day course, everyday has a story and two songs.
  39.  
  40.       Step 1: 5 mins.    Select a story in the non-stop mode, let the
  41.             story be completed by itself.
  42.       Step 2: 10 mins.    Select the page-by-page mode of the same story.
  43.             Stop at the end of each page, explain more 
  44.             about the graphics and the story.  If there
  45.             is a song on that page, explain the song. 
  46.       Step 3: 15 mins.     Go to karaoke module, select the two songs 
  47.             related to that story.  Teach the children
  48.             the songs and let them sing along in the
  49.             "Songs with Vocal" mode first.  When they are
  50.                     familiar with the songs, change to "Karaoke"
  51.             mode - i.e. music only, then let them enjoy
  52.             singing by themselves. 
  53.       Step 4: 30 mins.    Print out the black and white pictures, pass
  54.             crayons or other colouring pens to the children.
  55.             Then go back to page-by-page mode of story 
  56.             teller and let the children change pages by
  57.             themselves.  Finally, let them colour or even
  58.             add to the drawing for the rest of time.
