4. The installer loads everything you need to run the Demo CD-ROM including icons to launch Multimedia Career Center and Resume Express. You must have the CD in the drive because the majority of the information is on the CD.
Starting the Program
During installation, an icon group for the Demo CD-ROM is created in the Program Manager. The compact disc must always be in the CD-ROM drive during operation. (The majority of information is not installed on your system.) To begin either demonstration, double click the Multimedia Career Center or Resume Express icon in Program Manager. The program will guide you through each of the lessons.
Program Performance
To optimize the performance of the Demo CD-ROM, check the following:
1. In the 386 icon found in the Control Panel, check the Virtual Memory setting. It should be set to Permanent.
2. Make sure your system resources are optimized. Be sure there are no other programs running, turn off screen savers, minimize use of TSR's (programs controlling automatic backup, virus checking, etc.). These can be a large drain on System Resources and will slow data transfer ╤ greatly affecting program performance.
