  11. General notes:
  12.     -   We have developed a 32-bit version of TBAV-for-Windows! The
  13.         beta version runs successfully under Windows NT and the
  14.         Windows95 Preview Edition. A beta version of TBAV-for-Networks
  15.         for the Windows NT platform will be finished soon!
  16.  
  17.     -   ThunderBYTE Anti-Virus is now supported electronically 24 hours
  18.         a day via CompuServe. You can contact us via the ThunderBYTE
  19.         Forum (GO TBYTE), WUGNET/WINUTIL Forum (GO WINUTIL) and via the
  20.         Windows News Forum (GO WINNEWS).

  22.     -   TBAV-for-Dos now comes with a file containing answers to some
  23.         Frequently Asked Questions. This file, called TBAV.FAQ, can be
  24.         viewed via the TBAV-for-Windows and TBAV-for-DOS 'Documentation'
  25.         menu.

  27.     -   We are currently revising the online documentation file that
  28.         ships with TBAV-for-Dos. The final document will be available in
  29.         the next release of ThunderBYTE Anti-Virus.

  33.     -   TBAV-for-Networks has been released. This product, which
  34.         operates together with TBAVWIN, allows you to implement a secure
  35.         anti-virus system on your network! An evaluation version of
  36.         TBAV-for-Networks V6.35 is available (without charge!) from the
  37.         ThunderBYTE support BBS! Get TBAVN635 or contact your local
  38.         distributor for more information!

  40.     -   We moved! We didn't fit in our building anymore. Our voice and
  41.         fax numbers have been changed. In addition, we got a new
  42.         Fido-Net number. Select "About TBAVWIN" in the TBAV-for-Windows
  43.         'Help' menu to get our updated address info.

  46. TBAV-for-Windows notes:
  47.     -   Since TBAV-for-Windows and TBAV-for-DOS both use the same scan
  48.         engine, you are advised to read the "What's New" information
  49.         concerning TBAV-for-DOS as well. Select the item "What's new ?"
  50.         in the TBAV-for-Windows 'Documentation' menu to read the
  51.         information.

  53.     -   The accompanying 'ReadMe.1st' file contains some last-minute
  54.         information about TBAV-for-Windows. Select the item "Read Me" in
  55.         the TBAV-for-Windows Program Manager group to read this file.

  58. TBAV-for-Windows:
  59.     ->  This release introduces the new TBAV-for-Windows VxD driver.
  60.         This VxD driver makes the File I/O Monitor module of
  61.         TBAV-for-Windows completely Windows-based. Furthermore, the File
  62.         I/O Monitor module now works correctly in all environments,
  63.         including environments where 32-bit Disk Access or 32-bit File
  64.         Access is enabled! For more information about the
  65.         TBAV-for-Windows VxD driver and how to install it, consult the
  66.         ReadMe.1st file.

  68.     ->  Some files in the TBAV-for-Windows archive are now compressed in
  69.         order to save disk space. The TbLoad utility of previous versions
  70.         does however not recognize these compressed files. If you use
  71.         TbLoad, and TbLoad has copied the contents of the new V6.35
  72.         archive of TBAV for Windows, you must manually expand the compressed
  73.         files. You can use the 'expand' utility that comes with MS-Dos
  74.         and MS-Windows for this purpose.

  76.     -   The online help files have been completely revised! The full
  77.         documentation of TBAV-for-Windows is included in an attractive
  78.         and easy-to-use help file.

  80.     -   A new option is added in the 'Background Scan Configuration'
  81.         menu. It is now possible to instruct the behaviour of
  82.         TBAV-for-Windows when the program is minimized, by selecting
  83.         whether or not you want the status window to be displayed. If
  84.         you disable this option, the TBAV-for-Windows icon will be
  85.         displayed instead of the status window.

  87.     -   The dialog box that appeared when quitting TBAV-for-Windows has
  88.         been changed. Now, you can not only choose to quit
  89.         TBAV-for-Windows, but you can also minimize TBAV-for-Windows.
  90.         You can even instruct TBAV-for-Windows not to show this dialog
  91.         box when you want to exit TBAV-for-Windows. Change the setting
  92.         for displaying the dialog box via the 'Options|TBAV for Windows
  93.         configuration' dialog !

  95.     -   The Setup Module has been slightly improved.

  97.     -   TBAV-for-Windows' interface with TBAV-for-Networks has been
  98.         enhanced.

  100.     -   The utility called 'TbLoad' which implements the automatic
  101.         update feature of TBAV-for-Windows no longer relies on the
  102.         presence of the Anti-Vir.Dat file when a new version of
  103.         TBAV-for-Windows is copied, but will update the fingerprint
  104.         information in the TBAVWIN directory automatically.

  106.     -   The Application Execution Tracker module caused a sharing
  107.         violation in some environments when a DOS program was executed.
  108.         This problem is now solved.
