  13. THE LEGAL STUFF

  15. 1) You use these programs totally at your own risk. Under NO circumstances
  16.    will the author accept any liability whatsoever. If you do not accept
  17.    the fact that you use these programs totally and entirely at your own
  18.    risk then you must NOT use them.
  19.  
  20. 2) a) These programs are distributed as FREEWARE so long as they are only
  21.       for your private, personal use (Though all monetary gifts will be
  22.       gratefully accepted).

  24.    b) If these programs are used for or by a business organisation, a fee
  25.       of US$1.50 (English Pounds 1.00) per Pentium must be paid to the
  26.       author at the address given below.

  28. 3) Shareware Libraries, Bulletin Boards, Private Individuals and the like
  29.    may distribute these programs without requesting permission from the
  30.    author and are encouraged to do so as long as the programs are:

  32.    a) Distributed in their entirety including the text files.
  33.    b) Not altered in any way, including the addition of NFO's, DIZ's etc.
  34.    c) That the shipping and handling charges (Surface Mail) do not exceed
  35.       US$7.50 or 5.00 English Pounds.

  51. DECOMPRESSING THE PROGRAMS
  52.  
  53.     The programs are distributed in a self-extracting EXE file. To Extract
  54.     the programs ready for use place the file 586BUG2.EXE in your path and
  55.     type 586BUG2 at the command prompt.

  58. USING THE PROGRAMS
  59.  
  60.     The programs are designed to be very easy to use and will automatically
  61.     make the checks on your Pentium's FPU as soon as they are run.
  62.

  64.     DOS Version
  65.  
  66.     Log on to the drive or directory which contains the file DOSFLOAT.EXE
  67.     and type DOSFLOAT the program will automatically tell you if your
  68.     Pentium has passed or failed the test.

  70.     WINDOWS Version
  71.  
  72.     Start Windows. From the FILE menu option select RUN. Type in the Drive
  73.     and directory which contains the file WINFLOAT.EXE and click on OK.

  75.     For example if WINFLOAT.EXE is in the directory TEMP on drive C: then
  76.     enter
  77.  
  78.         C:\TEMP\WINFLOAT
  79.  
  80.     The program will automatically tell you if your Pentium has passed or
  81.     failed the test. Click on OK to terminate the program and close the
  82.     window.
