  11. Well Complain no more!  Now, with ITF,
  12. you can choose (and make!) your own fonts!!

  15. (Relax, ITF wastes no memory space from
  16.  Impulse Tracker!)

  20. Basically its much like ST3 and IT's
  21. controlls...
  22.  
  23. Load up a font set and pressing Ctrl-S
  24. will save that font.  Then load IT and
  25. hey! It's all there now!  ('FONT' is 
  26. the current font set you've set IT to use!)
  27.  
  28. Arrows   Navigate inside the edit box
  29. Tab      Go Between the Edit Box and
  30.          Font List Screens. (If you're
  31.          really good, you can even 
  32.          directly copy and paste from
  33.          the Font List box! :)

  35. Space    Plot if Empty before
  36.          Blank if Plotted before
  37. Del      Blank a line Horizantally
  38. Ins      Fill a line Horizontally

  69.          You can IGNORE this button.
  70.          It just reloads the old
  71.          standard 8x8 ROM font... but,
  72.          I'm sure you'd prefer the other
  73.          cool fonts.
  74. Control+BackSpace
  75.          You can ignore this one too.
  76.          This only reloads the default
  77.          IT graphics set - so the
  78.          other characters (like A to z)
  79.          are not defaulted.

  85. Everything is reletively easy to
  86.   try out so just run ITF and see for
  87.   yourself.  *Remember!: Impulse Tracker
  88.   and ITF strictly use Font.Cfg.  If you
  89.   have another font, rename it to
  90.   Font.Cfg (after making a backup for
  91.   the original, of course ;)
  92. *Also, a minor adjustment for those familiar 
  93.   with previous versions:  ITF now uses the
  94.   'ITF' extension instead of 'CFG' except
  95.   for Font.Cfg.  This way, the files that IT
  96.   uses directly are the ones with 'Cfg' 
  97.   (just a little more organized, don't 
  98.    you think? ;)

  101. Some predefinted font sets are optimized
  102.   for special features.
  103.   'FineLine' uses a thin font set.
  104.   'J-Electr' is a fancier 'FineLine.'  Font by
  105.          Jari Karppinen.
  106.   'J-Flux' is a thicker 'J-Electr.'  Font also 
  107.          by Jari Karppinen.
  108.   'Ariel' is a nice standard to use.
  109.   'FN-Ice' is a useful font with style.  It features
  110.          updated scrollers and volume bars.  Font by
  111.          Phantasm.
  112.   'FN-Round' is another by Phantasm.  Much like Ice,
  113.          but check it out :)
  114.   'EK-Mac' uses the crisp standard font from a Mac.
  115.          Modified frames and scroll bars - this font's
  116.          by Electric Keet.
  117.   'EK-Space' mostly an ariel font.  Also has modified
  118.          volume bars (sine waves), borders, and an
  119.          animated scroll bar (melting ball).
  120.          Also from Electric Keet.
  121.   'KanaFont' is a thick font - very legible :)  Font by
  122.          Jari Karppinen.
  123.   'Thick' is a very clear font set with nice big
  124.          legible words.  If you like big letters,
  125.          this is the right one for you.  Font by
  126.          Jari Karppinen.
  127.   'J_Termo' is the thickest (and large-looking) font
  128.          set.  It's even thicker than 'Thick!'  Also
  129.          by Jari Karppinen.
  130.   'SmallCap' is also superlegible, using capital
  131.          letters for all (shorter ones for lower
  132.          cased ones).  Font by Zirconia. 
  133.   'PeriSoft' is another great (and artistic) font
  134.          set with updated boarders, a robot
  135.          slider,...just try it out :)  This one really
  136.          shows how ITF can change the way IT looks.
  137.          Font by PeriSoft.
  138.   'ZircFont' is very nice and artistic and 
  139.          also useable for general
  140.          purposes.  Another font by Zirconia.
  141.   'GTHS-Bug' is a very legible font from Graham the Happy
  142.          Scum.  It's got borders, scrollers, and everything.
  143.   'Script' is a cursive font made by Jeffrey Lim himself.
  144.   'J_Curse' is a font leaning to the right.  Also
  145.          by Jari Karppinen.
  146.  
  147.   'Font' is the font set that IT will use - so,
  148.          remember to always save!  (pressing
  149.          control-s will automatically save
  150.          into this file)

  214. If you thing you're REALLY good, you can try out
  215.   the -a option (it stands for "advanced").  Type
  216.   "ITF" to get some info on it.  With it, you can
  217.   save over the standard ITF fonts with your own
  218.   modifications.
  219. There's even a way to load graphics into the font ;)
  220. Remember, -a is all undocumented so be very
  221.   careful...but have fun, it's packed with a lot
  222.   of extra options.
  223. I kept -a appart from the standard program to try to
  224.   keep the basic ITF simpler to use (hope I succeded).
  225.   Also, IT will internally change some characters>127
  226.   anyway.
  227. -a also allows the Shift-G, which saves the font into
  228.   a raw graphics file (8x2048).  Just Press Shift-G
  229.   anytime in the Control-S saving window...it'll always
  230.   save only into "ITF.Raw"
  231. Another option is -f which loads a 8x16 font file and
  232.   *tries* really hard to squish it into the 8x8 form.
