This LHARC archive includes source and executable for OptMouse, a program
which allows you to use a Mouse Systems M3 serial mouse on the Amiga.
Also included are instructions which allow a serial mouse to be modified to
plug directly into the Amiga mouse port.
Since the hardware modification is definitely the way to go, the OptMouse
program will probably be of limited use. However, it does serve as an
example of how to "fake" mouse movements and may be of use in writing
drivers for digitizers, light pens, and the like.
Note: I don't claim that this is the RIGHT way to fake mouse action, only
that it seemed to work for me. Your mileage may vary.
New for Version 1.2:
- Updates position twice as often as before (now up to 48 times per second)
- Built-in mouse accellerator
