CHAMPIONSHIP SPADES 16-BIT STARTUP INSTRUCTIONS:
Due to 16-bit limitations, you must manually startup this game the
first time. To do this, choose Run from the File menu in the
Program Manager. Type in 'c:\spades\chmpsp16.exe' (if you used
the default install directory) and the game will startup and will
also create an icon and program group for easy startup later.
NOTE TO WINDOWS 3.1 AND OS/2 USERS:
If you have never installed any major Microsoft program, you may not
have the OLE 2.0 DLLs which are required by this program. You can
download the OLE2DLLS.EXE file from http://www.dq.com/spades.htp
separately to install these DLLs. You will know you need these DLLs
if, upon running CHMPSP16.EXE, it says it cannot find OLE2.DLL.
You can also do a 'DIR C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\OLE2.DLL' to check.
NOTE TO OS/2 USERS:
You need to make sure to allocate enough memory for your WIN-OS/2
session to run this program. It needs a minimum of 4096K (8096K
preferred) to run properly. This means setting the XMS_MEMORY_LIMIT
for this program or your WIN-OS/2 session. Consult your OS/2 manual
for details on configuring WIN-OS/2 sessions.
NOTE TO WINDOWS 95 AND NT USERS:
You probably want to get the 32-bit version of this game instead
which can be obtained from http://www.dq.com/spades.htp. However,
this version WILL run just fine under 32-bit Windows.
