*It may or may not work on a VGA monochrome monitor, you may have
to adjust the colors.
Overview:
This program should be a great help in backing up your
your directories to diskette and restoring directories from diskettes
to your hard drive.
This program is also very useful maintaining your disk
directories. Meaning, erasing unwanted files, copying files from
diskette or moving files around on your disk.
You can use either the keyboard or the mouse or both for
selecting functions,directories, or paging thru the directories.
This program deals with whole directories, individual files
or files using DOS wild cards. REMEMBER wild cards can be used
freely in the file name field. ( *.? valid characters ) For more
information on wild cards, see your DOS manual.
These functions can be used for disk to disk, disk to diskette,
diskette to disk or diskette to diskette. Do whatever you want !
Also I should mention that the copy function will copy files
with ( hidden,read only or system attributes ) and restore the
attributes to what they originally were.

When the 'ESC' key is referred to in this documentation, it
also refers to the left and right buttons on the mouse pressed at
the same time.
First you must select the function you want to work with. To
do this you can enter the number of the function ( 0 thru 9 ) or press
the left button of the mouse on the description of the function you
desire. At this point you can press the 'ESC" key or press the right
and left buttons on the mouse at the same time to terminate the
program. Select the function you want to work with.

The information entered from the screen is as follows:
1. From drive specification
2. From directory/sub directories ( if any )
3. From file name ( if any - *.* default )
4. To drive specification
5. To directory/sub directories ( if any )
6. To file name ( if any - *.* default )
The required information for each function is as follows:
There are ten different functions that can be selected for
execution, they are listed below:
FUNCTION DESCRIPTION Required Entry
0 = Backup Backs up whole directories, individual 1,2,3 and 4
files or files using DOS wid cards.
1 = Restore Restores backed up whole directories, 1,4,5 and 6
individual files or files using DOS
wild cards.
2 = Copy Copies whole directories, individual 1,2,3,4,5 and 6
files or files using DOS wild cards.
3 = Xcopy Copies single/multiple whole 1,2,3,4,5 and 6
directories, individual files or files
using DOS wild cards.
4 = File Dir List files in a directory showing file 1,2 and 3
name,date,time and size.
5 = DiskCopy Duplicates a diskette to the same drive 1 and 2
or to another compatible drive.
6 = Erase Erases all files in a directory, 1,2 and 3
individual files or files using
DOS wild cards.
7 = Create Creates a disk file on disk or diskette 1,2 and 3
8 = Resize Change the size of a disk/diskette 1,2 and 3
file.
9 = Tree Lists directories/sub directories for 1 and 2
the entire drive or a individual
directory.

The from drive designation is required for all the functions.
For function codes 5 and 9 it is asked for directly without going to
the directory list. To accept the default drive designation, press the
'ENTER' key or click the left button of the mouse on the drive
designation. To enter a different drive code, enter the drive code
( semi colon not required ) and press the 'ENTER' key. To back up to
the function code, press the 'ESC' key.
To go to the drive designation from the directory list, press
the 'ESC' key. This allows you to enter the drive and directory
information directly without selecting. Useful for changing drives.
To select a directory from the directory list, use the
pgup/pgdn keys or click the left button of the mouse above/below the
directory list to page up and down. Use the up/down arrows to select
and press the 'ENTER' key or click the left button on the mouse on
the directory name.
When you have chosen function code '1' ( Restore ), you are
selecting the directory where the files are to be restored to.
The from drive/directory/sub directory can be selected from
the list of directories provided. The 'to' drive/directory/sub
directory and file name must be entered by the user.

After you have selected the from drive information, it
will show the files that you chose. To accept all the files, press
the 'ESC' key.
To select individual files, use the pgup/pgdn and right/left
arrows to select a file, then press the 'ENTER' key. ( this can be
done with the mouse also ) This will mark the file.
To unmark a file, use the above procedure to select the file,
then press the 'F2' key.

The program will insert some defaults that can be changed at
will. If no file name is specified, the default is '*.*'. ( all files )
Use the 'ESC' key to backup to the previous fields.

If you are using a mouse, you can select default drives,
directories/sub directories and function codes by clicking the left
button on the item. You can also page thru the directory list by
clicking above or below the list of directory entries. Pressing both
buttons on the mouse indicates the 'ESC' key.
After you have selected the necessary information for the
function you selected, it will show you the DOS command and ask for
your approval. You can press the 'ENTER' key to continue or the 'ESC'
key to cancel the command. A this point if you don't feel comfortable
with what you see, just press the 'ESC' key.
On function codes 0,1 and 3, it will ask you if you want
to include the sub directories. Enter 'Y or y' for YES or 'N or n'
for NO.
After it has completed the function it will ask you to press
a key, press a key to return to the main screen.
To terminate the program, press the 'ESC' key when it is
asking for the function code.
If you should find a program 'BUG' while using this program,
I would appreciate you filling out the form contained in 'RTHLPF.SUG'

hours you can be reached and the bulletin board which you got the
