* John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only
Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have
eternal life.
* Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is
eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
* Ephesians 5:22-25,28
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto
the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ
is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so [let] the
wives [be] to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love
your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave
himself for it; So ought men to love their wives as their own
bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
* Romans 6:1-3
What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that
grace may increase? May it never be! How should we who died to
sin still live in it? Or do you not know that all of us who have
been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His
death?
* Romans 12:1,2
I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to
present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to
God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be
conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of
your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which
is good acceptable and perfect.
* I Corinthians 6:19,20
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy
Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are
not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore
glorify God in your body.
* I Corinthians 9:24
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but
only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win.
* Psalm 1:1-3
How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of
the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat
of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in
His law he meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree
firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its
season, and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does he
prospers.
* Psalm 34:18
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who
are crushed in spirit.
* Psalm 37:4
Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the
desires of your heart.
* Psalm 51:10-13
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast
spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Thy presence, and do
not take Thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Thy
salvation, and sustain me with a willing spirit. Then I will
teach transgressors Thy ways, and sinners will be converted to
Thee.
* Psalm 63:3,4
Because Thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips
will praise Thee. So I will bless Thee as long as I live; I will
lift up my hands in Thy name.
* Psalm 119:11
Thy word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin
against Thee.
* Psalm 139:23,24
Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my
anxious thoughts; and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and
lead me in the everlasting way.
* Proverbs 3:5,6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on
your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He
will make your paths straight.
* Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and
knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
* Proverbs 28:13
He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he
who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion.
* Proverbs 22:4
The reward of humility and fear of the Lord are riches,
honor and life.
* Isaiah 55:8,9
"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your
ways My ways," declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher
than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My
thoughts higher than your thoughts.
* Joshua 24:15
"And if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord,
choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve:...but as for
me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
* Isaiah 40:31
Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength;
they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not
get tired, they will walk and not become weary.
* Jeremiah 29:13
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me
with all your heart.
* I Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has over-taken you but as is common to man;
God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what
you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of
escape also, that you may be able to endure it.
* II Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature;
the old things passed away; behold new things have come.
* II Corinthians 12:9
And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for
power is perfected in weakness."
* Galatians 2:20
"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I
who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live
in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and
delivered Himself up for me."
* Galatians 4:16
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out
the desire of the flesh.
* Galatians 6:7
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man
sows, this he will also reap.
* Philippians 1:6
For I am confident in this very thing, that He who began a
good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
* Philippians 4:6
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to
God.
* Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable,
whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever
is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything
worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things.
* Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
* Philippians 4:19
And my God shall supply all your needs according to His
riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
* Colossians 3:23
Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord
rather than for men.
* Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the
conviction of things not seen.
* Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he
who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a
rewarder of those who seek Him.
* Hebrews 12:11
All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but
sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards
it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.
* James 1:5
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who
gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be
given to him.
* I Peter 3:15
But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being
ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an
account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and
reverence.
* I John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to
forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
* Mark 9:35
And sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them,
"If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and
servant of all."
* Matthew 6:33
"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all
these things shall be added to you."
* Matthew 7:1,2
"Do not judge lest you be judged. For in the way you judge,
you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be
measured to you."
* Matthew 7:7
"Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall
find; knock, and it shall be opened to you."
* Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of
those who love him, who have been called according to his
purpose.
