  17.     FILES IN THE PACKAGE

  20.     FAKE Demostration is distributed in two ZIP files named:

  22.         FAKE.ZIP and
  23.                 FAKESRC.ZIP
  24.  
  25.         You must unpack the first zip-file in your hard disk before
  26.         the demo can be run. After unpacking both files, you should
  27.         have the following files and directories:

  29.                 README.TXT      - This file
  30.         FAKE.EXE        - Demo executable file
  31.                 FILE_ID.DIZ     - BBS file descriptions
  32.                 SOURCE\*.*      - Demo parts source code

  36.         HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
  37.         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  39.         This demo requires a 80386 processor and 528 kilobytes of
  40.         free conventional memory. You can use a 386 memory manager
  41.         like QEMM to get this memory available.
  42.  
  43.         I recommend that you have a 486-based machine, a fast VGA card
  44.         and a Sound Blaster or compatible sound card. This will make the
  45.         demo more fun to watch. If your machine is 386-based, the demo
  46.         will work, but many parts slow down.

  51.         STARTING THE DEMO
  52.         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  54.         You can start the demo at your DOS prompt command line executing
  55.         the file FAKE.EXE, typing the word FAKE (for example C:\>FAKE).

  57.         If the demo hangs or run very slowly or you don't have enough
  58.         memory, try the following:
  59.  
  60.         To get memory try installing a 386 memory manager (such as
  61.         QEMM 386 or 386MAX) and removing all unnecessary residents
  62.         from config.sys and autoexec.bat.
  63.  
  64.         If the demo doesn't work properly but you have enough memory,
  65.         first try removing all disk caches and other active resident
  66.         programs.
