  4.         RW1200.DAT file notes:
  5.  
  6.         This datafile contains 1200 cities for the program Roadways PC.  If
  7.         you live in New Hampshire you will be especially pleased since almost
  8.         every town in the state is included.  However, be forwarned:  the
  9.         printout you get will be LONG!  I am working on a way to select
  10.         major cities or all cities in the printout, but this will probably
  11.         have to wait for the next major upgrade of Roadways PC.

  13.         To use this datafile with versions of Roadways prior to version 
  14.         3.0, you will need to rename your current ROADWAYS.DAT, ROADWAYS.CTY
  15.         and ROADWAYS.STA files to something else, then copy RW1200.DAT to 
  16.         your Roadways PC disk.  Rename it to ROADWAYS.DAT and start Roadways
  17.         PC with the /I switch, like so:

  19.         ROADWAYS /I   <enter>
  20.  
  21.         This will start Roadways and create the sorted datafiles.  Roadways 
  22.         will then run and present you with a list of 1200 cities to choose 
  23.         from.

  25.         If you have Roadways PC version 3.0 or later, all you need to do is
  26.         load Roadways, go to the UTILITY menu, select Defaults and change 
  27.         the default Datafile from ROADWAYS.DAT (or whatever name you are 
  28.         currently using) to RW1200.DAT.  Then re-start Roadways PC and the
  29.         sorted datafiles will be created and Roadways PC will load.

  31.         I don't yet know if this stretches memory close to the bounds
  32.         or not.  If you try this datafile, and you get an out of memory
  33.         error, please drop me a line with information about how much memory
  34.         your computer has when you type CHKDSK at the DOS prompt.
